[ yeah, there might have been a slight quaver of urgency to that "noctis, are you there" with the huge bird following him around and inspecting his bag. There aren't any animals like this where he lives, and even if he's pretty sure they're peaceful, it's still big enough to kill him if it wanted to steal his spam. ]

Spot? That's his name? He doesn't bite, does he? [ please tell him no, even though he's stepping through the doorway as they speak. ]

Nah, he doesn't bite. His kind only eat greens.

[ Noctis picks up on it, and so does Spot! Who very kindly comes around to Noctis and starts preening. While Noctis would usually throw in a dry joke or two, he supposes it won't go over well with someone who's afraid(?) of birds. ]

And Spot's pretty docile. You can even ride him, if you like.

[ He's gesturing him over into the kitchen. ]

You're okay with potatoes, right?

[ the great Arsène Lupin, of course, would never be bitten by a horse... and it's not that he's afraid of birds! Spot is just a big animal he's not familiar with. He's a little wary. He holds the bag out to Noctis as he follows him in. ]

[ Noctis laughs softly and shakes his head, taking the bag with a murmured word of thanks. ]

No, he's a gentle giant, really.

[ There are some potatoes, cut up into fry-shaped sizes, and Noctis is already taking a can of spam out of the bag, opening it up with a knife. ]
