[ So, Bruce's color is #F6DB2C but this is actually coming from #00CCFF. Wonder who that could be!! (It's Damian's handle.) ]
After recent events, I think it'd be in our best interest to take a headcount.
Please reply to this post with your name and hex code.
If you could list anyone who won't see this post either, I would appreciate that as well.
The defense force will keep a list of everyone within the town and have it updated when people arrive and disappear. It'll be good for tracking patterns on how people are brought to the town and what colors are being emphasized in particular. If we're separated again we'll know just how many people should be present and no one is lost in the shuffle.
Another thing, I'll be working on a map of the town to keep in a public space (such as, near the well) for easy accessibility. I think it would be in our benefit to add a list of residencies along with it -- name and hex code included. It would be for those who need to meet each other but have only interacted on the forums, for instance. Being able to reference a map and find someone's home from there will be helpful.
This would be an opt-in practice, you would only need to publicly list yourself if you wanted to.
Any other thoughts and comments on these two ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

Keith-kun and I have been keeping track of the hex codes, including people we noticed went missing. I can send that to you, too, if you'd like.

Keith? Guren mentioned you and Dave were keeping track but he didn't mention a Keith.
I'd appreciate it if you sent the information along, of course.

Good input. If it's constantly in flux, this could become unwieldy quickly. Thanks.
[ and then he's... not going to introduce himself... because no one needs to know who HE is!!

I agree with Caramia up there. Listing everyone's houses seems a bit excessive to me.
Like people do move around and so far everyone here seems to get along, but what if we get scenarios like some new arrival showing up who might have it out for someone who can then be easily found and tracked down through the directory?
I get that it could be practical and helpful in keeping tabs on where everyone is, but it could potentially be a risk too.
We never know who might show up next.
no subject
I understand that. It's why I wanted to suggest it first before going forward on it. It doesn't have to be all or nothing either, some people can choose to list themselves on the map if they're okay with that.
[ because as if bruce is going to put himself down!! most of... what he's doing right now... is going through the motions because he's probably going to do what he wants anyway. bruce isn't super helpful. ]

As Caramia said, I can supply the codes for anyone who has posted publicly on this forum, as well as their name if they've given it. This of course goes for those who are no longer present as well.
[ Since he's been so kindly introduced and volunteered... thanks, Caramia. ]

The names and homes was a secondary priority, and an optional one. If it's not well-received, that's fine.
[ one day bruce will stop going "i already thought of that" to everyone's responses and be an actual human being with social skills. ]

You're using a different hex code. It's going to confuse people, especially when you don't give out your own name with it.
So, is this one your kid's, or is the other one his?
[Now that he knows this is a thing, thanks to Damian, he is here for this]
no subject
This is his. I'm fairly certain my hex code is a bright yellow, if the text changes later on. Don't want it to linger. You've met?

I've also been making a list of people's talents and abilities, which you're welcome to read anytime at my home. It consists of anything from cooking to martial arts that could be considered useful.

I'd love to come over and take a look. With that information, it should be easy to strategize how to go help each other going forward, wouldn't it?

[ Nobody will ever be blinded trying to read his posts. He's so glad he's not one of y'all yellowbros. ]
I think others have addressed my concerns about the map well enough, so I'll just second those and be done with that - but admittedly, if someone is truly determined to cause harm, I don't think a lack of such a map will be much of an obstacle, either. [ Voice of an uncomfortable amount of experience speaking. ]
no subject
With such a small inter-connected community, I doubt it'll be anything more than a small hiccup. But I do agree with the concerns, which is why I wanted to inquire first.

Did you honestly introduce yourself at the beginning of your message... and then also sign your name at the end of it? Lupin...
[ Caramia doesn't have experience with cell phones, but if he did, he'd point out that it was just as unnecessary as those weirdos who put something dumb in their signature for text messages. Do people even still do that anymore? That'd be a wild ride... ]
