[Did someone mention increased paranoia about the werewolf menace?]

Why is this still happening?

We shouldn't have to worry about getting turned into a werewolf in our own homes!

I see posts about a cure, but are they really going to make it? It's not like we have modern medicine and chemicals with long names here! We're going to be stuck like this forever!

So why aren't we doing anything else about them?

1. All of our past bizarre events ended eventually, usually in less than a few weeks.

2. Everyone involved in making the cure is obviously trying their best. How do you know there aren't skilled chemists among us able to find what we need?

3. Invoking fear and panic like this worsens things.

4. What "anything else" would you suggest?

Gods above, just when I thought you might have some hope. Fine, let's take this one at a time.

Why would the werewolves show up all of a sudden? Like the birds, and the shadows?

Because the town wants us to suffer?

Tempting as that is to believe, it's not the truth.

We're here to restore the town. Someone out there is guiding us, whether we like it or not. Each event, tragic as they were, always ended. Even if we failed with the birds, and couldn't drive away the shadows, they left regardless.

OK, but there's always the chance for that to go wrong!

Or maybe these aren't werewolves the town came up with. Maybe it's a pack of werewolves that just found us all sitting here in this town and looking delicious!

Found us from where? There is no escaping this town. I's as if nothing exists beyond the borders. We've had people fly and travel to test this. The town created the werewolves, and shall send them away.

Maybe they didn't try hard enough.

If the town did make them, there's still the "it could all go wrong this time" idea!

Because giving up on us and the town means you might as well start digging your own grave, if you don't see a way out.

You were threatening yourself! What else are we supposed to think when you're insistent that the werewolves will overwhelm us?

Maybe just lock them up.

There, now you're calming yourself and thinking more rationally. Locking them up until a proper cure can be found is a good idea.
