What a curious device this is. And, a very convenient means of communicating as well — but I'm going off on a tangent.

My name is Ruva, and I'm what one calls "new" here. There seems to be a language that involves gesturing with one's hands, and I was wondering if anyone was willing to teach it to me. I'm afraid I have little to offer in compensation, but I would be ever grateful.

Also, if I'm understanding correctly, we're to complete these quests? While I'm still trying to grasp all this, I'd like to be of help, in those or around the town. I'm not much good in a fight, but I make for a decent healer, if that would be of use to anyone.

I can't really teach sign language unfortunately but healers would be pretty useful on some of these quests
has anyone told you much about them yet?

That's what I think too. It'll help you out in a place like this, at least, if you can look at things optimistically. I think it makes it a bit less daunting.

That would be pretty counterintuitive to what they've already asked us to do, but... I guess I can't be sure they wouldn't ever do that to us.

yeah, but you also have to read the requirements really carefully since those change all the time
plus some of them are more dangerous than others I guess
if you find fighting monsters and wrestling invisible sheep dangerous

not as easy as you'd think with the whole invisibility thing, but some of the other quests are all about honesty and sharing your feelings and whatever
so if that sounds easier, this might be the place for you

Would it be difficult? There are a lot of words... And phrases you shouldn't take literally.
