I'll keep this short and sweet, cause I'm sure you guys hate to read as much as I do, I have a quick question for everyone: What's your blood type?

This isn't for some compatibility thing.
I mean I guess.
I'm just curious.

Do different blood types taste differently or something?

AB and O types typically taste sweeter, especially positives.
B's are kinda... buttery or I guess creamy.
A's have a bolder, dense taste that's kinda opulent.

But that's just my opinion. It's different for everyone.

Though I guess it makes sense, since every other kind of food has taste too. Regardless, to answer your question, I'm type A.

Admittedly, I don't think most people are very comfortable with losing blood, no matter how it happens. That's probably a normal human thing.

Still, I guess it would get pretty boring to never change things up.

I'm genuinely just bored and decided to ask something most people may not even be aware of. Personally I think it's pretty important to know!

I'm going to take it you don't mean in the sense of personality compatibility and horoscope things. Why's it that important in a place like this?

Because if you humans need blood transfusions you're gonna need to know who can donate to who.

Or you all can just die, I mean, it's no skin off my nose.

I mean, you're not wrong about that, but with healing magic and things here, and without the technology for blood transfusions... it doesn't seem like we'll be able to do it even if we do know our blood types.

I mean you're not wrong, but at the same time it's not going to hurt anyone to know, am I right?
Unless there's a less lazy vampire around here who needs this information and I'm just acting as a scapegoat so they can get their information and bite those who are compatible late in the night.
But that's a lot of work.

There was one before.
Short guy, blonde hair, he came from the same world as Guren and I, but he disappeared not too long ago.

So I guess you could say I'm the only one here.

Really funny kid. He only recently became a full vampire.

Not at all. The first century being a vampire I spent it by myself, and it's not like any of us are really close to each other.
It's adaption. I'm sure you're familiar with that, right? Like you cattle have adapted to living here, we vampires adapt to being the odd ones out.

If anything it's just annoying because there's a few too many people who always expect the worst out of me.

No matter how I look at it, it's still up to you how you want to view the people around you.

If you can't change the way you look at people at all, then doesn't that make you more like that than we are...?

It's hard to change my perspective when there's only a handful of people willing to think of me as anything but what I am.

Plus, where do you think I should start? It's been eight hundred years of the same old interpretation.

Shouldn't you start wherever the first step seems most logical to you? It's been hundreds of years, but... I still think that you can probably change your own mind, if you really want to.

But you'd have to really want to, right?
