Hey! So, I know things are apparently a little weird at the moment and I wouldn't blame anyone for not wanting to deal with strangers, especially in person, but I have a quick question: anyone have a room at their place they're looking to fill? I'm not really used to living alone, honestly, so... yeah. Hasn't really gotten any easier yet.

I don't mind keeping the place clean, or cooking, and I can do some repairs on clothes if you need them? Promise I'll make myself useful. I do have a cat too, but she won't be a problem-- unless you see spirits you literally won't even know she's there. If you'd like to talk about things more or if you have any questions, just look for Ryan or message me here, that's probably easier.

Oh, and while I'm on here: if you're on the more supernatural side of things then let's talk, if you don't mind? I'm used to working with people who aren't human, or aren't just average humans; I might be pretty new myself, but if you need anything you're uncomfortable going to others for, I'll do whatever I can to help. No judgment or anything, promise.

[ Nico had been trying to avoid posting on the network for the first month but he is pinged by SPIRIT CAT!!!! Also, his text is still black too. ]

You have a ghost cat?

I do, yeah. She showed up along with me-- I've had her for a while, came across her a year or so ago.

How did you come across a ghost cat? And how do you take care of her?

She just sort of showed up, honestly? I think maybe she was drawn to the other ghosts around the place, but maybe she was just wandering around. Couldn't really say for sure.

Bianca's pretty easy to take care of, though... I mean, she doesn't need to eat anymore? She's pretty happy just getting attention, I think she's fine as long as she's not ignored.

[ It actually.... takes Nico a very long few minutes to respond to this. The name of the cat sort of gets to him still. ]

Can I meet her?

Sure thing. She loves people who can see her, if you're able to-- she might not leave you alone if you give her attention though, fair warning.

[--and of course Ryan himself is pretty interested in meeting anyone else who's curious about ghosts.]

[ Nico's not just curious. ]

I'll be over in a few minutes. You won't miss me wearing all black with even a black sword.

[ Nico is true to his word and comes walking up to the location given to him by Ryan. As he said, he's wearing black from head-to-toe with only a few hints of white on his shirt and collar of his bomber jacket. Once close enough, he's certain to not make eye contact with the man so as to not accidentally transfer memories. ]

She's a pretty normal cat except for the ghost thing, but I do think she's pretty cool anyway. :)

and that definitely counts! If we had any back home I never had experience with them, though, so I can't say I know a lot about demons.

[He's been waiting outside with the cat held in his lap, just to make sure she won't run off; she might be a very needy cat, but that doesn't mean she won't go exploring given half a chance.]

where im from demons are actually pretty common but not everyone can see them

[ He gives the man a nod but his gaze is focused on the ghost cat. Yep, the teen can definitely see it. Nico shuffles closer and crouches down before offering his hand out for her to sniff. For the cat, he probably smells like the afterlife. ]

You can touch her?

[ That's one thing Nico's never been able to do, touch ghosts out in the mortal realm. ]

[It's safest to just keep watching the cat, so that's exactly what Ryan goes with, smiling fondly down at her as she sniffs at Nico's hand and meows. There's an odd echo to it, but otherwise sounds normal enough.]

And yeah, I've always been able to make contact-- they all still feel pretty solid to me. Sometimes it's kind of hard to tell them from living people.

So kind of like spirits where I'm from, it sounds like. Everywhere, but not everybody knows it.

Can they still affect people who can't see them, then, if people can see them by getting wounded...?

Pretty sure none of us really just- up and decide to start seeing things.

Do you not like it, or...?

Yeah, same.

[ Sorry Ryan, but Nico is far more interested in the dead cat than a living man at the moment. Not that it would be surprising if Ryan knew what Nico was. He moves his hand closer, trying to see if perhaps he could make contact with Bianca's ear or if he'll just pass right through her. Though he fully expects to not be able to touch her. ]

I've never been able to touch ghosts, they just sort of turn whispy when I try. Guess it would be bad if you had a ghost pet but couldn't touch them.

oh yeah exorcists have to come deal with 'hauntings' all the time some of those guys love being jerks to humans for no reason

Yeah, but in this case, it was my friend's fault! He got his spiritual pressure on me or something and that's the only reason I can see things!

I regret that I cannot properly see Bianca. I hope she will not grow too lonely.
But I can at least smile at her if I sense her.

[Whether he can make contact or not, Bianca sure tries to shove her head against his hand, meowing again-- yes, good, attention is her favorite.]

You're pretty used to them too, then?

[He almost glances up, but catches himself in time; right, right, avoiding that.]

I've met a few other people who can see her, but haven't really talked to anyone who deals with ghosts much.

...definitely not all that different, then. Some of the spirits I've run into were a real pain.

If you have exorcists dealing with them though-- do they give you any trouble, or-?

-yeah, I can get that. Some of it sort of sucks to see, huh?

I've had it all my life, I imagine it's got to be hard to just... suddenly start having to deal with it like that.

I'm sure even that much will be enough for her, she just likes attention more than anything. She'll definitely like you.

If there's anything you want me to start looking for ingredients for, too, just let me know-- I'm still figuring out what all I have to work with here, but I'll do what I can to try to cook whatever you two like.

It is hard! Then when I'm not seeing monsters in the sky, I'm ending up with Soul Reapers staying at my house!

Because you're used to it, do you think it's fun to be able to see ghosts?

[ Unfortunately for the poor cat, Nico goes right through her as if she was merely mist. He hates it that the only way he can interact with spirits is when he's down in the Underworld. ]

Once, I had a ghost teach me a few things. Sometimes I just talk to them when there's no one else around.

[ Minos wasn't exactly a friend or even a good guy but he did teach Nico some useful skills in using his powers. ]

Ghosts are... more chatty than other dead beings. For the couple of years, ghosts were the ones I hung around with most.
