Hi, everyone! This is Izuku Midoriya, in case you don't know my hex code yet.

1. Since it looks like we're stuck here for a while longer, I was thinking it would be a good idea to try collecting more information on this place, specifically the forest. As of right now, it's probably our best bet for finding a way out of here, and it's a source of food, too. [No matter how bad it all tastes.] Yaoyorozu-san and I have been trying to put together a working map, but we just don't have enough information to work with right now.

What do you think of us all working together to map the forest out? If we're successful, we'll be able to mark out the safer paths to take, as well as where we can find anything edible. The more people we have for this, the faster we'll be able to get the information we need!

2. If you've already gone into the forest and encountered something like the shadow monsters or some kind of magical trap, let me know! I can put together a database of sorts on this forum so we all know what kind of danger to look out for when we head in. I'll keep it updated if we run into anything else during this group trip, too.

3. Not related to the information gathering, but has anyone managed to find anything like tshirts and jeans around this place? I've found some extra clothing while cleaning this past week, but most of them don't fit me and they're not really in a style that I'm used to. So, if anyone needs an extra set of clothes, come find me?

You're not the first to mention that. No, I do not believe we are from the same incarnation of Japan, but I am curious about the differences.

[Guren laughs, standing too casually with his sword. Purposefully, he lets the demonic energy leak into the air. It looks like black tendrils, and the feeling is noticeably intimidating. They're out in the open, and he doesn't intend to let out so much to test Izuku's determination, but at least the raw power can be felt.]

Are you trying to think of how you can beat me? Sometimes the best tactic is to retreat.

Y-yeah. [Izuku stays crouched, just in case Guren decides to attack at the last minute, but he's also distracted by the energy he can feel coming from the sword.] I was just trying to figure out what else your sword can do.

[Though he'd known about the demon already, it's different to feel the power first hand. Kind of...like how All For One's presence had felt; intimidating and raw, but not quite as oppressing. Izuku suspects that's because Guren isn't releasing its full power, though. You don't become a Lt. Colonel of a demon army without a considerable amount of strength.

He looks over at Guren with a bit of confusion.] What do you mean ...retreat? I thought you were still testing me.

Hehe, don't go putting yourself down, you definitely deserve all the credit you're getting pal! You came up with a way that kept us from being killed or expelled and tried to move when we were all frozen in fear, don't think I'll ever forget about that!

But also that about the exam was really not your fault. If it was anybody's fault that it was Bakugou's for wanting to do his own thing like the stubborn mule he is, followed by my fault for simply running after him and Kaminari's for running after me and... You know, how many DID end up running off in the end?

Definitely! If not, we could always rely on smoke signals, though they're a little less reliable since we'll be in the forest...

We could have some of us on standby in the town on lookout.

I finished testing you after the first spar. This is training. A lesson.

[He takes a step closer, not intending to attack, but intending to make Izuku feel that power a little more. Those black tendrils are incredibly overwhelming when he wants them to be seen. They're like a black cloud around him, constantly moving.]

Winning isn't all about strength, even if strength is important. It's about analyzing and taking the best course of action. Even someone weaker can take down someone stronger than them— but only with proper planning. Teamwork. Coordination. Friends. If it's one on one, you shouldn't go against someone stronger than you.

[Izuku looks like he's about to protest for a moment before grudgingly holding himself back. It is true that the Nomu had singled him out in a group, and he'd had the bad luck of running into Shigaraki at the mall...]

Those weren't exactly my fault. [He says, leaning on his arm and looking disgruntled.]

You must've met one of my classmates! There's a few of us here.

It's the same for me! Who knows when you'd get another opportunity to learn about other worlds like this?

If you were at school, then you must had made some friends there.

You said you had fun there...so you must have had a lot of good memories of it.

That's how I feel about my job! Or the one I'm working toward anyway. It's hard work, but it pays off in the end.

Just the ones I found...I'm not sure what everyone else did with the ones they came across.

[He's tried to think of better-tasting stuff while eating the ashy food, but it hasn't really helped.]

That's the spirit! Speaking of notes, would you like to help me find some empty books for people to take into the forest with them?

Yeah, the trees are really thick in there. We don't know if anyone will be able to see the smoke clearly.

Still, one of my friends said he'll stay behind and come to our aid if someone needs it. As long as we have some way to signal him, we're guaranteed to have backup of some kind.

Whoa, your powers can just disappear like that without warning? That's kind of unsettling.

So if the levels can be measured by equipment, does that mean you get tested at a pretty early age? For us, Quirks usually manifest by the time you're around 4.

I miss wikipedia a lot. Actually, do most worlds even have wikipedia? I keep forgetting that something I'm used to having might not even exist in other places. I like learning about all these other places, but thinking about all these possibilities makes my head hurt sometimes.

Someone I care about back home is in really bad shape. The lake showed me a vision where he was back in perfect health.

Yes! I met some very good people, and we went on a school trip together, and I got to experience homework and arcade games and dinner dates and all sorts of wonderful things during my time there. I was very happy to exist, for however short a time it was.

i guess? it might make things easier for some people though. there are a lot of restrictions in place especially for high level espers.

i think it's different depending on the country. in japan, babel will send a representative to every school yearly to screen for psychic power as well as check on known espers to see if there's been any changes in their level. it's like a check up! they can even check for brain activity and predict what sort of psychic powers will manifest.

i think most places do try to catch it early though, because if someone manifests psychic powers at a high level it could be dangerous if they don't learn to control it or wear a limiter!

ours does! i used it to look up snail facts a lot.

[Why snail facts? Because she was so shocked to learn that snails had no gender that she's sort of become obsessed.]

but it's really confusing, isn't it? and then some places have MAGIC. that's completely crazy!
