Hello, everyone. It's Dextera.

I've recently come into the possession of a potion that allows me to speak with animals. It's limited in both quantity and effective time, but with everyone coming in recently, I've noticed that there are a lot of new animals running around the town. If anyone has very strong feelings about learning the emotions of their animal companions, please let me know. I'm willing to use the last of the potion to ask.

Additionally, it seems that the thoughts of the creatures in the forest are as distorted as their bodies. I could understand them, but I couldn't "understand" them. I did learn that the geese are very angry. For those of us who have been investigating the forest, I thought this would be of interest.

i got him when kei was handing them out the other month
i guess to eat but i didnt eat him because look at his cute little armored shell and etc

not cuddly but fun to watch
lobster tv is the only station my house gets i need him alive

There's something very calming about having a pet in this town. I'm enjoying watching my chicken.

Explain what you encountered when you tried to talk to the ones in the forest. What exactly did they say?

another new hex code... dextera will have to learn these new people soon, but for now, he's content to make conversation with a total stranger. ]

It's hard to describe. It sounded as if they were of multiple consciousnesses in one individual, all speaking over each other. I think whatever mutated their bodies changed their minds, as well.

As for domesticity, no. Everything I've encountered so far has a really incredible bloodlust.

You're pretty brave for going into the forest to check on that... It sounds like it would have been really creepy, as cool as talking to animals sounds!

I haven't thought that far ahead, but if enough people seem interested, then that seems the most efficient... I think.

I've been trying to feed the chickens only things with color, but I think they're starting to get picky.

It's possible several animals have been mutated together, and you're hearing the voices of each one.

[This is, of course, no less disturbing for Damian, lover of animals. Shit.]

What animals in town have you spoken with?

I didn't go far. There are a few animals that lurk near the edge... but they're just as angry as the rest of the things I've seen on quests.

I'm still nursing a burn from one of the geese.

I have several chickens from a crate my housemates received some time ago. The chickens themselves are normal, but their eggs are colorless.

They have nothing in particular to say, except that they're quite hungry.

Do you have feed for them? They require a special diet. It can perhaps be made here.

I would allow them to free range in the gardens others made, if I were you. They are good bug hunters, if there are any bugs at all. A lot of their nutrients are acquired from foraging.

They'll also need grit to help digestion unless they're free roaming.

I've been feeding them scraps of the vegetables that have color and letting them eat whatever else they find from the ground. For their home... we have a fenced area for them to keep them from running off. Is that "free roaming"?
