It appears that as a group we've all generally agreed to utilize this forum as a means of sharing relevant information with each other and pooling collectively our experiences as we grow acclimated to our new circumstances, so in a similar vein — a few questions, if you will.

1) Has anything verifiably edible (and safe for consumption) been found in the wilds surrounding this town?

2) Has anyone yet identified a foodstuff that isn't altogether flavorless?

If the entity in question is indeed monitoring this forum, it only stands to reason that they're monitoring things other than this forum as well. Are you sure any other forum of discussion is any more or less secure than this one?

Not quite. My close friend's something of a master chef, though, so I've picked up a thing or two from him - just enough to get by. Which is the problem, in this case. If he were here, I'm sure he could fix our food problems.

They might be, yeah. And no, I'm not sure. But I'm sure this one isn't secure. At least if we try to keep certain info secret, off the grid, we have a chance of it. Or at least making it harder for them to get the whle story.

Also we're working on that exact thing. We've got a couple ideas.

There's a berry of some kind. It's not one that I recognize. There was a couple apple trees further in, too.

Unfortunately, whatever caused the color to disappear in this town might have had an effect on the fruit, too. That's what I think, anyway.

I don't make a habit of it, no. They're useful for flavoring in a number of ways, but I don't eat them outright.
