It appears that as a group we've all generally agreed to utilize this forum as a means of sharing relevant information with each other and pooling collectively our experiences as we grow acclimated to our new circumstances, so in a similar vein — a few questions, if you will.

1) Has anything verifiably edible (and safe for consumption) been found in the wilds surrounding this town?

2) Has anyone yet identified a foodstuff that isn't altogether flavorless?

I don't know about safe for consumption, but I've been eating things I find and I'm okay.

...it all tastes the same, though. Maybe it would be better if someone cooked it.

Depending on how long it's been since you started consuming them, I'd imagine any averse effects would have manifested by now. When did you start eating them, and what all did you eat?

everything i've tried has tasted pretty disgusting, but at least food is easy to find! and it's not so bad if you eat it really, really fast.

I've had a couple different kinds of fish. They all had a few too many eyeballs or other parts. Tasted like shit, but it didn't kill me.

"A few too many eyeballs" is not a phrase I'd want to hear applied to anything I intended to put in my mouth, quite frankly.

I appreciate the confirmation that it failed to kill you, though.

1) So I've heard. I believe full digestion can take anywhere from twenty-four to seventy-two hours, so if we all survive another day or two, that should be confirmation enough.

Seeing as you've got plenty of answers, I doubt any from me are going to provide you with more information you don't know! But, I had intended to go hunting as some point, though the creatures in the forest fall under the same pattern as the fish: too many limbs or eyes or... etc. I don't see them ending up any differently, if the pattern continues. And I don't see any reason why it wouldn't.

I don't suppose you've come across any indication of why the fauna here appears to have altogether too many eyes and limbs. Some sort of mutation, perhaps?

I've nothing to say that hasn't already been said, but if I could venture a guess, the flavorlessness of our food is similar to the lack of color in everything else here. This town is lacking a certain something. What that might be is beyond me at the moment, unfortunately.

There are some, erm, "animals" in the woods that could be hunted.

They're not exactly normal looking though.

The gardens in Flavo have seeds and some... obscure vegetables. Right now they're highly untamed but we may be able to clean them up and create a renewable food source.

No accounting for taste, though! All terribly bland.

1) That's optimistic to hear. What sort of fruit? Berries, something off of a tree?

2) That does seem to be the universal experience, from what I've heard.

Agreed. A proper spice rack can be invaluable, when it comes to making an otherwise unsatisfactory meal palatable.
