It appears that as a group we've all generally agreed to utilize this forum as a means of sharing relevant information with each other and pooling collectively our experiences as we grow acclimated to our new circumstances, so in a similar vein — a few questions, if you will.

1) Has anything verifiably edible (and safe for consumption) been found in the wilds surrounding this town?

2) Has anyone yet identified a foodstuff that isn't altogether flavorless?

...And if I were to ask you to bring me a few of those apples, what price would you be asking in return?

Nothing? I was a little preoccupied when I passed by them last time, so I didn't remember to take more than the one I tested. I don't mind bringing some back for everyone, though.

I can show you were the trees are if you'd like, too!

I'd appreciate that very much. You didn't run into any of the alleged "shadow monsters" out there, did you?

I ran into another kind of trouble, but not the shadow monsters. I know how to avoid it this time, though!

When would you like to meet up? It can be a bit of a walk so we'd need some time to get to and from the trees.

What other kind of trouble, precisely?

I've been tending to spend my time in the district with the canals, and that's where I found this laptop of mine. Perhaps we can meet on one of the bridges there?

There's a lake that lures you in by showing you things you want to see.

Okay! I can definitely meet you there. Should we go sometime today?

I — beg your pardon, a lake that does WHAT?

[Hold that thought on the meetup. This is suddenly vastly more important.]

Exactly like I said... it messes with you and makes you see something that's not actually there so you'll jump in. When you do, it freezes over so you're trapped underwater.

Neither of us were thinking very clearly after we saw what the lake showed us, but we were fine before then. I think it's only dangerous if you look into it.

A trap, then. How incredibly malicious.

How did you get back out? Were you able to break the ice?

Defintely, especially when you wonder how they knew exactly what to show us.

Yeah, we broke the ice. At least nothing else tried to keep us in the water after we did that.
