It appears that as a group we've all generally agreed to utilize this forum as a means of sharing relevant information with each other and pooling collectively our experiences as we grow acclimated to our new circumstances, so in a similar vein — a few questions, if you will.

1) Has anything verifiably edible (and safe for consumption) been found in the wilds surrounding this town?

2) Has anyone yet identified a foodstuff that isn't altogether flavorless?

There is a difference between the taste of something and whether it is safe for human consumption.

For example: lead chips taste sweet, but that doesn't mean it's safe to eat them.

I’ve eaten bones before, though. They’re not good, but they’re okay.

Isn’t the important part the fish?

Not now that I'm curious why it is you were eating bones before this.

Why were you, incidentally?

The ones that aren’t too hard to eat are good for me.

Though they make me... sweaty sometimes.

And that's a typical side effect to eating bone? Perspiring profusely?

Among other things, but that’s a common one.

Have you never eaten a bone before?

I don't make a habit of it, no. They're useful for flavoring in a number of ways, but I don't eat them outright.

Is there some reason in particular why you're quite so attached to bones?

They’re just easy to find. Everyone has some.
