It appears that as a group we've all generally agreed to utilize this forum as a means of sharing relevant information with each other and pooling collectively our experiences as we grow acclimated to our new circumstances, so in a similar vein — a few questions, if you will.

1) Has anything verifiably edible (and safe for consumption) been found in the wilds surrounding this town?

2) Has anyone yet identified a foodstuff that isn't altogether flavorless?

...You know, that's perhaps the most compelling argument I've heard yet for the existence of coffee in a place like this.

Not personally, but I've utilized it with others. Typically to help them acclimate to the consumption of something bitter, or to a taste they otherwise found unpleasant.

I've been in the acquaintance of a number of picky eaters, over the years.

Ah, good. I could use a few contemporaries around here. Particularly as we all attempt to figure out how to make anything edible out of the admittedly bizarre ingredients people keep finding around here.

Exactly like I said... it messes with you and makes you see something that's not actually there so you'll jump in. When you do, it freezes over so you're trapped underwater.

Neither of us were thinking very clearly after we saw what the lake showed us, but we were fine before then. I think it's only dangerous if you look into it.

How did you get back out? Were you able to break the ice?

Defintely, especially when you wonder how they knew exactly what to show us.

Yeah, we broke the ice. At least nothing else tried to keep us in the water after we did that.

i havent had any luck finding anything that doesnt taste like bland day old rice so unless someone else has had better luck than us idk what we're gonna do about it...

I've been trying to take apart the laptops, but it's slow going with coffee. Maybe that's their plan.

A few cans of beans and soup. Not sure if any of it is good anymore. It all tastes the same either way.
