It would be more accurate to say it found me. One day I awoke to found a great crate full of it in my kitchen - I suppose it was a reward for fulfilling some quest.

yeah it's the house with the giant birds and the occasional chicken

These days, I'm always hungry. I'll be seeing you shortly, monsieur.

[ and he does!! it's hard to miss the house with the giant birds, even if he hadn't memorized most of the city at this point. Noctis will hear a polite knock at the door; outside is a man dressed in dapper clothing, or at least as dapper as he can make it here in Chroma, with a bag over his shoulder. The bag is full of cans of spam, naturally. ]

Noctis? Are you there?

[ Spot, who had been chilling outside the house, perked up with interest when Lupin arrives -- and so the large bird trots along after him, curiously nudging at the bag that's over his shoulder.

Aurorean, being the more polite chocobo of the two, naps.

Noctis opens the door promptly, smiling when he sees him. ]

Hey. You're quick. And I see Spot has unilaterally made himself a friend.

[ 'Kweh', comes the dignified response, and Noctis opens the door wider. ] C'mon in.

[ yeah, there might have been a slight quaver of urgency to that "noctis, are you there" with the huge bird following him around and inspecting his bag. There aren't any animals like this where he lives, and even if he's pretty sure they're peaceful, it's still big enough to kill him if it wanted to steal his spam. ]

Spot? That's his name? He doesn't bite, does he? [ please tell him no, even though he's stepping through the doorway as they speak. ]

Nah, he doesn't bite. His kind only eat greens.

[ Noctis picks up on it, and so does Spot! Who very kindly comes around to Noctis and starts preening. While Noctis would usually throw in a dry joke or two, he supposes it won't go over well with someone who's afraid(?) of birds. ]

And Spot's pretty docile. You can even ride him, if you like.

[ He's gesturing him over into the kitchen. ]

You're okay with potatoes, right?

-- Yes, potatoes are fine. And I can tell you with complete certainty that that's never stopped horses from biting anyone.

[ the great Arsène Lupin, of course, would never be bitten by a horse... and it's not that he's afraid of birds! Spot is just a big animal he's not familiar with. He's a little wary. He holds the bag out to Noctis as he follows him in. ]

[ Noctis laughs softly and shakes his head, taking the bag with a murmured word of thanks. ]

No, he's a gentle giant, really.

[ There are some potatoes, cut up into fry-shaped sizes, and Noctis is already taking a can of spam out of the bag, opening it up with a knife. ]

You can pet him if you like, Spot likes the attention.
