Ok chucklefucks, listen up 8ecause I've got some important shit to share.
So I have these super gr8 luck powers, right? And no one is going to ask me off-topic or inane questions a8out them or say anything idiotic. Gr8! Anyway, I used these powers recently to try and track down our friend (that's something called sarcasm for those of you who don't know it) Mr. F.
And my powers led me to the well, which was super weird. I felt positive that I was on his trail, and then I got the stupid well instead. So make of that what you will.
I also found something.
A gold locket. It's definitely gold, and it's got this gemstone, 8ut that's still gray. Convenient, right? Not to mention there's nothing in it.
8ut.
It's important. To this town, I mean. That's what my powers made me feel! Like it was connected to this town's history in some major way. I am certain of it.

Shouto was with me when I found it, so you can ask him a8out it too, if you want.
Also, I'm taking suggestions on what I should use my luck powers on next, since using them to find Mr. F was kind of a 8ust. Keep in mind I can only make myself lucky, though, not other people.
8ut I want to use this a8ility to unravel this piece of shit town's moronic mysteries!

then follow it with herself as she floats up to hug him. So. Hopefully he's got good reflexes to catch the locket then the girl. ]

[ Rather amused, Clark will catch the locket easily enough and use his other arm to give her a proper hug in return. He might even add a little squeeze to it. Just a little one. He's glad to see her. ]

So I've been told. Now. Let me take a look at this?

[ She's welcome to stay where she is. He'll never break a hug. He figures she needs as much as she wants to handle. ]

[ Naturally he isn't caught off guard even a little bit. Vriska feels she should somehow be more annoyed, but only finds herself smiling, instead. She'll stay for a moment, huffing into his shoulder with her arms wrapped around his neck, but lets go before too long, floating there on an even height with him. ]

[ The locket is as she described: gold, with a colorless gemstone, and decidedly empty. On inspection it looks worn, as if quite old. ]

[ He nods and looks down at the locket in his hand, opening it up to see the empty inside. After a moment, he considers- ]

ANYWAY hey, she'll be sitting outside waiting for him, rather than make him knock on the door for her. isn't she sweet? she'll wiggle her fingers in the rough approximation of a wave when she spots him approaching. in her hands sparkles something gold. ]

[He bounds over to her, a bright smile on his face when he's close enough.]

Oh, you didn't have to wait outside! [And then his attention's caught by the sparkly thing in her hand. Izuku leans in eagerly.] That's the locket?

[ Good god, he is adorable. It is incredibly annoying. Shaking her head and smiling a little, Vriska gets to her feet and holds it out. ]

Yeah. Take a look.

[Izuku takes it, letting the locket rest on his cupped hands for a moment as he studies it. Suddenly the smile's gone, replaced by sharp focus. He opens the locket--it's just like Vriska said before. It's empty.]

I wonder if there was a picture in here once. And who it was of, if there was...

[ Vriska props a hand on her hip, watching him with thinly veiled amusement. ]

Search me. Shouto guessed it might belong to the town's founder. Personally, I haven't got a fucking clue.

[He turns the locket over in his hands.] It's weird that the gold is normal, but the gemstone is still gray, though.

You think? I mean, the locket is pretty old. You can tell just by looking at it!

Which would mean Mr. F is just as old, if not older. And that's pretty weird, right? Unless we're assuming he's something other than human. Anyway, shrug! There is more than likely some big important secret associated with the color of the gemstone, and we just have yet to figure it out.

You never know... I mean, we haven't actually seen any of the old townspeople, or know what they were like.

For all we know, they could be humans that live a really long time because of magic, or they could be something else altogether that has a long lifespan. [He's thinking of the gems of Cairngorm's world.]

Yeah.. I bet there is. [Carefully, he hands the locket back to her.] You'll keep us updated if something happens with the gemstone?

[ Tilts her head. ]

Trolls can live an exceptionally long time, you know. Those of my caste could live for centuries. Higher bloods would live even longer! So there are certainly options for Mr. F's species.

[ Vriska will take the locket, and put it where she's been keeping it since the day she found it: around her neck, using a piece of twine. Though once she's got the locket on, she'll hide it under her shirt. ]

Yeah, of course. I figure it's best if everyone knows about this kind of thing, right?

It's definitely another option. The more we find out about #FFFFFF, the more we can narrow down the list!

[He looks at Vriska with curiosity now.] How do your powers work, anyway? Especially the luck thing! I never got to ask you about that.

That's right, I haven't told you.

I'm able to steal luck from my opponents and make myself much luckier. It's been pretty tricky to do safely here in town, since I don't want to risk anyone's safety. But I'm able to do little bits here and there. Enough to at least find shit like this, I guess.

[Before she can even blink, Izuku reaches for his backpack and whips out his notebook and pen. Quickly, he writes her name down, before jotting down a few notes, the tip of his tongue sticking out as he concentrates.]

That sounds like a really complicated power. How did you figure it out in the first place? If you can steal luck from other people, does that mean you can give the luck you've collected to someone else, too? How much luck do you need to collect before you can do what you did to find the locket?

[He hardly takes a breath as he fires off these questions, but that's not his fault! He's never heard of a power like this before! It's exciting!]

[ Oh. Wow. That's cute. Vriska has to swallow a smile. ]

I'm a Thief of Light, which basically means Thief of Fortune. Thief is my class, and Light is my aspect. I was given my classpect when my friends and I started playing a certain game. Since I knew the game like the back of my hand, I knew going in exactly how my powers would work. I can't give anyone else luck, but I can make them passively lucky as long as they're with me or their good fortune benefits me in some way.

[ The last question makes her think. ]

That's hard to quantify. I don't know if I could give you an exact number. But I was only able to do it because I spent that whole thing with the birds stealing luck from people I spotted about to fail. Right now I have pretty much jack shit left, so my luck will be kind of crappy for a while.

A game... oh, that's right! Strider-kun and Egbert-kun both mentioned playing one when they got their powers.

[Izuku taps his pen against his cheek when he takes a break in his furious note-taking.]

So, using it to find things like this will affect you negatively, too... are you sure you'll be okay, Serket-san?

[While she is getting useful information by doing this, Izuku doesn't like the idea of her bringing bad luck upon herself either.]

I wish I knew. I am still baffled by that whole thing. There is definitely something pretty mysterious about the well, too. Plus, I am willing to bet about a billion useless boonbucks that the color of the gem is important.
