Hello
I've only replied to a handful of people on the forums before, so most of you will likely not know my color. My name is Gladion. I came from an island nation called Alola, in a world inhabited by creatures completely unlike anything I've ever encountered here. They're known as Pokemon, and some of you may have seen them around during the attacks last month. I have a team of six with me, though they're just a small, small fraction of the number that exists in my world.
That said... I don't often reach out like this, but I need some assistance. During those battles I depleted most of my supplies from home used to care for my team. I have two potions left, though I've been holding off using them in hopes that there might be someone here who can possibly replicate or even replace what helps to heal them quickest. For now they've simply been recovering on their own, which is possible but slow and difficult to tend to by myself.
I also met someone last month who had a book from my world, a basic guide on Pokemon and how to care for them. I offered to help with whatever information was missing from it as it seemed like the pages would vanish at random while reading. Being the only person from my world here I understand the curiosity that might arise from having such unique creatures so if anyone wishes to meet my team, be it for the sake of interest or to aid with finding ways to help them, I'm willing to open up my home to you for the time being.
[He is still just about the least social person in Chroma, but if it's for the sake of his Pokemon he's willing to try and muster up some energy to deal with people he doesn't know well.]
In any case, thank you for your time.
-Gladion

Are you familiar at all with the composition of these potions? That is to say, do you know anything about what they're actually comprised of?

I do know it's possible to create healing items with just the basic herbs, but most Pokemon find them bitter and difficult to ingest so potions are often preferable for most trainers.
no subject
You may need to look into alternatives and substitutes, rather than seeking to recreate the ones you have.
no subject
If I can find an alternative of some sort, though, I'll gladly do whatever is needed to help create and continue to supply it. If nothing else it can hold us over until we're given another chance to earn an item from home.

...I realize that they're Pokemon, but can you describe some of their attributes? For example, something with a beak and wings that's capable of flight, or something with fins and a tail that lives primarily in an aquatic environment...?

Hmn. There are Pokemon who have healing abilities as well, though 'magic' wasn't used to describe those. Still, that could be helpful.]
If you think your magic will work on my team, I would be grateful for the help.

i don't know if it will work on your pokemon friends but i do have healing spells? they used to work on my Dream Eaters back where i'm from. i wish i had some potions i could give you but if you want to try out the healing spells, i'd be more than happy to try!
no subject
What are Dream Eaters, if you don't mind me asking.
no subject
Dream Eaters are creatures too! we team up and work together in battle! all of them are different from each other with different skills and abilities but they're all really cute and useful. i didn't wake up here with any of them though. you're so lucky.
no subject
Not all that different from Pokemon then. I'm sorry you don't have any of your partners with you here. I'm not sure I would be able to handle arriving here entirely alone.
no subject
i'd love to see your pokemon sometime!

did the wolves attack your creature friends? are they okay??

[Gladion has no idea what emoticons are so the thing at the end gets a momentary stare, but he doesn't bring it up.]
They did, but the infection didn't seem capable of spreading to them. They're recovering, but it's slow without potions and herbs.

Unfortunately I don't have the means to create the same potions you are accustomed to, but I can perhaps come up with something through herbs. The book I read didn't make any mention of remedies.
no subject
I may have to rewrite that section for you if it's not available.
Herbs are another possible remedy, though. I would appreciate the help.
no subject
[ if it's a healing remedy of some sort, surely it can have some benefits to people? ]
I'll do my best. The issue is only the colored plants seem to be viable. I attempted with the colorless ones but they were disgusting, to put it light.
no subject
I have yet to try any of the colorless food. It sounds like it will be a terrible experience if I do.
no subject
[ just, urgh. ]
If I make any progress I'll let you know. Are your pokemon doing alright, or was this just a preemptive measure you're taking?
