ok but seriously i got two things to say

first off: last time i posted on here i made promises about sharing stuff i got from out my portal basement
and i wanna make good on those promises cause it'd be a dick move to do otherwise.
so i was wondering if anybody's up for pulling a D&D group together?
disclaimer: i have never played D&D IRL, and also the DM guide i hauled out my portal is both hilarious AND useless because who has the time to memorize every single page of that?? (spoilers: not me!)
but i got dice and enthusiasm and a broad strokes understanding of how it works which imho makes up for it
i also dragged a handful of board games and stuff out so as much as it pains me i'm also putting those out there if anyone gets bored of questing and wants to just kick back and chill.
i dunno where is the best place to do any of this but i'm open to ideas!

no joke but last week i opened my front door to find an oldtimey milkbox crammed full of pecans.
i mean SERIOUSLY crammed. there are more pecans here than i could ever want to eat.
so if anyone wanted to make pecan pie, or literally anything else with pecans? i am totally willing to share my windfall
i'll even do home delivery if ya want!

so it's like a tabletop rpg
tl;dr a bunch of us get together, roll up characters like an elf barbarian or a dwarven wizard or w/e (there's a whole ton of options) and pretend to go on adventures
one of us would be the dungeon master who keeps an eye on the game and helps guide where the story's going
yknow if enough of us are interested!

Your game sounds intriguing. Out of curiosity, what purpose does the dice serve? A roll to see how many steps we can take in a turn?

no that's down to your character's speed stat
the dice rolls are for stuff like seeing if the actions you wanna take work out
like if you want your character to sneak past a whole bunch of guards the DM might ask you to roll a d20 (the 20-sided one) to work out if you do it or if they spot you

when i say the copy i have is hilarious and useless i mean that literally

and besides we're probably gonna have to play with house rules anyway since my rulebook is barely legible lol.
but D&D is super cool! it's like part roleplaying, part storytelling, if you're into that kinda stuff
