Hi there.
I'll keep this short and sweet, cause I'm sure you guys hate to read as much as I do, I have a quick question for everyone: What's your blood type?

This isn't for some compatibility thing.
I mean I guess.
I'm just curious.

[That is an awful lot of science talk and Ryouma doesn't understand basically a single word of it, but he is fascinated all the same.]

Huh. That must have taken quite a long time to discover, but it also proves that technology has improved drastically and that's something to applaud.
I couldn't tell you what my supposed blood type is, though, except that it's red and I prefer it to stay inside where it belongs. Why do you want to know? It seems an oddly specific question for simple boredom.

I'll stick with the stars. More romantic, don't you think? Or rather, looking at a pretty girl and feeling that satisfying heartbeat in your chest, don't you agree?

Oh, you never know. With the different types of people who show up here, there's always the chance they could bring in the right kind of knowledge to do such a thing. Or if you're concerned about having the right kind of equipment to do it, then maybe someone could be handy enough to make it. Or pop on back to their respective homes to grab what's needed like what happened a couple months ago.

[It all makes perfect sense, okay. Though the idea of these different blood types causing harm makes Ryouma wonder. Since some rasetsu go crazier and crazier after drinking blood, could it be because their bodies react badly to it? It's not a transfusion exactly, but some people can't eat or drink certain foods while others can, so maybe it's something like that? Somehow connected?

Or maybe Ryouma's just trying to find some little fleck of positivity in a pile of bad.

Which is all promptly forgotten when this guy casually admits to being a vampire. Sure. Okay. That's not disconcerting at all. Says the guy who's a store-brand vampire.]

So it really isn't a compatibility thing, after all. But rather, dare I say, preference? Do some blood types taste better than others?

More importantly, are you asking so you can narrow down a list of people who can provide you their blood?

You're missing out on the heartbeat thing. Can't say I envy you.

[What an odd conversation this has become.]

I'd say everyone has their own preferences, but that feels crass when children are involved.

That being said, if it's consensual, then I guess there's nothing to worry about. You don't ever lose your mind and go on a bloodlust spree or anything, do you?

There's plenty of PEOPLE with terrible morals, I hate to say. It doesn't really matter what you are.

How often do you starve or lose your blood like that? See, I'm a guy who isn't fond of violence so forgive me if I sound paranoid. I just want to make sure everyone here stays safe.

Anything that poses any sort of threat will always make someone paranoid. It just depends on how well that thing can be handled or controlled.

You're clearly not a thing, though, and it seems like your system has been steady enough, so it's cruel to expect you to fit into some perfect little ideal. If we're honest with ourselves, nothing is ever truly perfect anyway. But do you have someone else who would step in to take your "supplier's" place if they do disappear? I think that's important not just for everyone else's peace of mind and safety, but also your own.

Because I am? We could all make assumptions about each other and act on them out of foolishness, but then where would we end up? In my experience, talking things out tends to help people come to some understanding and then work things out, even if they've held animosity toward each other beforehand. I don't see why this should be any different.

And I've never met Guren so, no. He didn't tell me to say anything.

Unfortunately, I think that's just going to forever be one of mankind's flaws. Don't get me wrong, I'm not all that excited about your existence, but as long as we're all good little boys and girls and stay on our best behavior, then we'll at least be able to coexist.

Uh oh, are you threatening me?
