Well a vampire in my world can only last three days without blood. So I was forced into major changes then...

Realistically, it probably took a century or so to get rid of unnecessary feelings.

And if it lasts long enough I still won't technically die...

I'll just turn into a demon. And that's something no one wants to have to deal with, because that will start a rampage.

I wouldn't say that I am, to be honest.
Back in my world we had more blood readily available because we herded humans like cattle, giving them shelter in exchange for their blood.
Admittedly things have gotten a little more hectic but...
I didn't have to think of who I was gonna drink from or limit myself to just a single person.

Basically, just think of your food supply being cut down to the point where you're on your last rations.

And here's the part where Mutsunokami's opinion of this stranger he's talking to just plummets. "Herded humans like cattle?" It makes the the rest seem less selfless and more suspect. He's too shounen for this. )

And they were okay with that? Being kept like animals instead of people?

Well at that time it was the end of the world...
But not really.
Most of the adults died and after that there were only children. Pretty disappointing, to be honest, since I hate the blood of children.

They made it to where they're my only choice.
I didn't get a say on it at all.

( Hmmmm there sure are some ethics here!!! Being a tool of man, Mutsu is more inclined to side with humans here but then who is he to deny non-humans the right to eat! But also these are children? But then there's not much choice. But the whole thing still seems real messed up to him and he doesn't like it, thanks! He'll need to mull this over a little. )

I don't get everything that's going on here but you've given me a whole lot to think about. I can't say I like it all but everyone here has their own rules they have to live by and it's not right trying to put them on osmeone else. I'd offer you a drink for helping me understand some things but I guess that means different things for us ヾ(｡◝‿◜｡)ﾉ

I mean I'm definitely not against a drink. I can at least put blood in a glass and act a little fancier than usual.
