[ Clark's had... a rough couple of days. Rough, because one of the things he'd been using to anchor himself a little in this strange place had disappeared. It's nothing anyone has probably noticed, as he's very good at keeping his emotional turmoil to himself, but even he can tell that his writing is stiff and stilted as he puts up a message he knows is necessary.]

It has come to my attention that Bruce Wayne has disappeared from this place. If there was a project he was assisting you on, please feel free to consider me at your disposal to assist in its completion. If there is something that requires attention that you know he was working on, I'll be happy to see what I can do. Obviously, there's no replacing him, but I know he'd hate to see necessary work being stalled or stopped because of him.

Otherwise, I'll be near the well around 9 starting tomorrow morning for anyone who'd like meditation instruction.

[It hadn't been difficult to puzzle out that he and Bruce were from the same world, given the circumstances, but Izuku hadn't known that they were friends. This just means there's one more person that he should check up on; he knows how difficult it can be to lose someone from home like this.

Well, he was definitely the brains behind the plumbing project.

We were actually working on that together, and I fully intend to finish the project. It just might take a little more time.

[ He was a lot of things, including a genius in his own right, but he wasn't an engineer, not hardly. That was Bruce's department.]

I'd been trying to work something up, but he got a lot farther into figuring it out. You've got whatever you need from me to finish it, though.

[ He'd mostly been staring at the books he managed to recover from "home" and quietly screaming to himself, because he mostly had history stuff that wasn't so hot on the "here's how to actually do things without power" part. ]

I have some of his notes and I've got a good lead on getting it finished at this point, I think. It's just a matter of getting enough materials together.

[ Though she rarely responded to posts (she always felt a bit awkward, since her way of writing was so different from others), Elizabeth was at least well in the habit of reading them. They were important updates, things to keep in mind, and of course, a way to pass the time. However, they're usually fairly mundane. This particular one makes her feel like her stomach drops a bit.

Disappeared? It can't just be that. It's selfish, she knows, but Mr. Wayne had been so kind to her that the idea that he would be gone from here completely was a sad one. Briefly, she wonders if it's a bad thing for her to wish that he had stayed. ]

Thank you for letting us know, Mr. Kent. I hope you don't mind my asking, but what do you mean by disappeared? Surely we could find Mr. Wayne, right?

I don't believe so. I believe him to be gone from this place, returned hopefully as some people been.

I have a way of keeping track of him and it tells me rather definitively that he's no longer within the village, or at least as definitively as anything can.

[ Though she'd like to hope otherwise, the way Clark phrases it makes that irrational feeling much harder to foster. She sits at her keyboard for several moments with her fingers just hovering over the keys, unsure of what to really say in response to that. There's a lot she'd like to say, but... It's probably too personal. ]

I'm sorry to hear that, then. Mr. Wayne is very kind, so he'll be missed here. I hope he returned home, at least.

I would too. I guess we don't really know that it's what happens, but it's better to assume so, I think.

I've been practicing with my Tears too, so if I ever get lucky enough to open one and see him, I'll let you know. They can work that way, sometimes.
