USER: #A5211F - CAMPING ANNOUNCEMENT (PLAYER PLOT OPEN TO ALL)
(color)
Okay, kiddos, listen up.
I'm calling a mandatory trip for the entire defense force. It was brought to my attention that we could all use the break, and doing it while encouraging teamwork isn't a bad idea in my book. It's going to be roughly in a couple of weeks, and I'll send out messages to all of you the day before we head out. We're going to head into the forest just far enough that we can't see back into town, stay there for the day, camp over night, and return late in the afternoon the next day. That's right, we're camping. You can thank Zelda for the idea. Speaking of her, she's second in charge for the trip, so if you can't get in contact with me for any reason, she's your go-to.
You're all going to go and have fun together. That's an order.
Only bring the essentials. We'll have activities lined up for you all, and we'll be hunting for our own food. If you've got any questions, you can ask here.
For those of you not in the force, it's not too late to join. Fighting experience isn't necessary, so contact me if you're interested. If you don't want to join and still want to tag along, go ahead, but let me know so I can make sure everyone gets back in one piece.
But for those of you on the force: seriously, it's mandatory. Show up or else.

[OOC INFORMATION - OOC PLOTTING POST
Obviously, it's not OOCly mandatory. Guren highly encourages it, and Zelda will be too, all to encourage characters who otherwise might be shy or not want to go when you OOCly want them to! But there won't be any IC punishment for not going if you don't feel like playing with this. But anyway, this will take place on the 14th-15th of this month. I'll be posting a mingle log at that time with various prompts! Guren and Zelda have worked together to create a number of activities, and beyond that, I spoke to the mods and was able to get a number of fun shenanigans to mess with.
Look forward to the following:
- Activites like tug of war, an obstacle course, hide and seek type games, and sports involving balls
- Talking games like two truths and a lie, never have I ever, would you rather, and telling ghost stories around the fire
- Card and board games. They'll be old and crusty but they can attempt
- Campfire songs
- Cookout
- "Watch" shifts over the night. Guren would assign them, but I won't do that OOCly so everyone can have their character awake and "on watch" whenever they want.
And watch out for these:
- Pixies stealing weapons and belongings when your back is turned: they can be found in the woods, but will have to be tracked down to get those things back.
- Certain plants where they're staying, if touched, will induce effects such as: looser inhibitions, a drunken sort of feeling, and a general discarding of sensibility.
- Likewise, certain wood from the trees, if chopped down and lit on fire, may induce effects such as: suddenly feeling more affectionate OR more belligerent
- There are certain sections of the woods that they may pass through where their powers and abilities go a little wonky: they may suddenly be unable to use them, or lack control of them, or be suddenly significantly stronger than they're used to. These effects fade as soon as they step out of that portion of the woods.
- They may, when they are all gathered around the fire telling ghost stories, listen to a ghost story from classic folklore of some sort... and then realize that nobody around the circle was the one telling the story.
- And finally, there are will o the wisps out there in the woods! They'll notice glowing lights when they're camping late at night; they are relatively benevolent right now while everyone is that close to the Town, and won't actually exert any influence on the characters to try to drag them away. If anyone follows them, it'll be of their own volition and not because they were brainwashed into doing it. **If your character wants to do something like this, it would go completely against the tone of the camping trip and genuinely be a bad time. Mods warn that you should be very sure you want your character to do this before deciding to do it. If you do want to do this, PM the mods to see what will happen.
I'll give the mingle prompts sort of like an event log to help everyone out and then you can tag amongst yourselves! Last but not least, if you want to join the defense force and haven't, please feel free to hit me up OOCly or ICly here. Here is the current listing that I try to keep up to date, along with a link to current squads, but I can edit those at any time and they'll be shifted around next month, too. You don't have to wait to join. I think I covered everything, so let me know if you have any questions! As always, I can be reached by PM, discord @ zlos#3826, or
