USER #23FBC5 - Missing Friend

Apologies, cause I'm still getting used to this system

I thought I'd use it to ask a question

My name is Rex, by the way. Since this thing doesn't show our names, and I don't really care about being anonymous or not
Has anyone noticed people going missing?
I had a friend, a friend from my home, and we were both here together but now any trace of her seems to have disappeared

I thought maybe she just went off exploring or something, but she's not the type to be so careless...she would've at least left a note or something
It worries me because I have no real way of knowing if she found a way back home or if something took her or worse.

I don't mean to be such a downer, but if anyone has any information, I admit I'm a little bit desperate

we were talking at the end of one of those broken bridges

nah nah, I just never saw her again after that

We split up and she hasn't been around for...at least a week

Well, I don't recall anyone with that description around, but if no one else speaks up, we could set up a search party for her.

I suppose so...she can handle herself, so I'm not too worried but...

How does a person just disappear? Who might it happen to next?

I mean, we all did just kind of appear here, right? Maybe... she was sent home?

Maybe whoever put us here didn't like her...?

You're probably thinking of "caramel". My name derives from Italian, however, so that's probably why?

My best friend appeared here with me, sadly. Hopefully, if your friend really did appear back home, I can only hope the same will happen for him, if that's the case.

Well... this place isn't exactly what I'd call a great vacation. It's cold, dull, and really eerie. And home was... well, it was home.

I'm happy we're together, don't get me wrong, but I'd rather him be safe at home than here where I'm not entirely sure what's going to happen...

If you found our your friend was home rather than just lost, then wouldn't you be happy...?

I'd rather we all be together. I don't think my friends would be able to sleep well knowing I was out here. I think that they would want to come after me and help me, so...If I had their help, I'd be very grateful for it, and we could all find a way home together

I guess that is a bit selfish, huh?

I don't think I'd give up my friends so easily just so that they wouldn't be in the same predicament as me...i think my friends would want to share the burden, that's all

That's not selfish at all. I completely agree, in all honesty, and I think it's a good way to look at it.

In a way, I'd be really lonely without him here. He's always been there, and so not having him be would be strange.

That said, the fact that I cannot guarantee his safety scares me more than being alone does.

I'm sure he must feel the same way, right? Or at least similarly

You can't guarantee his safety, and he can't guarantee yours, but i guarantee you're both a lot safer together than split apart

friends keep each other safe. I'm sure your friend would rather have the chance to keep you safe than to be back home not even knowing

Maybe...but like i said, she isn't the type to run off and do something dangerous without being extra careful...she would've left a note or told someone if she had plans on doing something dangerous

absolutely. We met up after I got out of the well, and one day, she was just...gone.

Her name is Morag. I dunno if she made any other friends while she was here, so...

Unfortunately, I don't believe we crossed paths...

If she wandered into the forest alone, there's a possibility she might have gotten lost. Or attacked, I suppose, given what I've heard of monsters roaming about.

The forest is pretty scary, it gives me this weird sense that I'm being watched...not to mention how thick it gets

Anyone stupid enough to venture into the forest deserves a scare or two.

But, yes.

Personally, I'd rather they didn't up and vanish, themselves. They have this terrible habit of acting recklessly without a thought to those others it might affect.

In any case, that's the reality you'll have to face: either you find her, or you don't. The piece that you control is whether you intend to continue searching, even long after the chances have dwindled to mere fractions. Is she important enough to you to warrant the trouble? Would it be some sense of obligation that spurs you on?

Or would you cut your losses, and allow her to become little more than a memory turned sour?

that's...a tough question to answer. I dunno if i even have one.

But i dont plan on givin up, thats for sure. Maybe i wont be able to find her, but maybe i can figure out what happened, yeah?
