keep it warm? eggs are pretty low maintenance as far as i'm aware
Only an idiot would ask such a stupid question in the first place. Obviously, you can do whatever you want with it. If you meant to ask what you SHOULD do with it, that's another matter entirely.
That said, there are some creatures that will lay their eggs in the nests of another species--often weaker, and far less intelligent. When the mother of the original nest foolishly hatches the orphan, she becomes the one to expend the energy required to raise it in its own mother's place.
Of course, the parasite is often all too happy to kill its adoptive siblings if it will ensure its own survival. I'm sure in a place like this, they could very well kill their host as well once they've served their purpose.

yeah, no, not all animals sit on their eggs!! none that i can think of at the moment aside from frogs...? i think?? just so long as they're warm they'll hatch, though.

oh, i got away with my thoughts there. i meant frogs don't sit on their eggs. and like, snakes, too, now that i think about it. they don't even have butts to sit on their eggs with. i mean... not that i know of anyway.
