I don't think I've ever seen black eggs before. Maybe it's an Emu?
[He's pretty sure Emu eggs were dark but he could be wrong.]
Most eggs require heat. Do you have anything that could be used to warm it up? Can you feel anything moving in it? (don't shake it, please)

When I hold it, it does feel like there's something moving around in there.
