Doesn't #FFFFFF mean to encourage people to be friends? I don't know who he is, but this is something I would encourage as well. The world is full of people, after all, so it would be a waste not to get to know them.

What other sorts of bonds do you have that you could strengthen instead of friendship? There's familial bonds, bonds between employee and boss, rivalry between enemies as well. They're as important as friendship.

I've been on quests before where my teammates and I weren't exactly what you'd call friends. so maybe those kind of bonds

I think you're thinking too much into it. Putting #FFFFFF and his request aside, do you want to do something together with a stranger, who is coincidentally designated yellow? If it's something you want to do, you should do it. You don't have to worry about any larger reason behind it.

[ That's sort of Ryoji's views on the quests as a whole. But on the other hand, he's not particularly invested in helping out the town and restoring its color; he'd spent so long as a rock on the side of the road, and he's content with that, just watching, doing his own thing, enjoying himself with the time that he has. ]

this is maybe not that surprising but I have no idea what to even do in the town when we aren't questing or training or a bunch of dumb stuff is going on
so let me ask you this. what's something you've always wanted to do?

I've never tried it before, but it does sound interesting! Gliding across a frictionless surface, world passes you by as you stand in stasis, it evokes that sort of feeling. But would there be anywhere to skate in the town?

[Video games don't exist here? And also the last "normal" thing he could think of was studying for exams and being grounded by his girlfriend so what is normal?]
