[Duo is practically beaming and bouncing around from foot to foot like an overly excited child.
Which, to be fair, he technically still is.
He gets on the bike and starts it up, looking like he could probably die happy right then and there. But he's not going to because damn it, he is taking this thing for a ride and enjoying it.]
[Akira waves him off, and sticks around to watch him go. Just to make sure that, you know, Duo wasn't bluffing when he said he knew how to ride a bike.]
[He wasn't! He may be a kid by all rights but he knows what he's doing. He does take it easy, too, even though there's definitely a part of him that just wants to rev the engine and go as fast as possible.
Still, he gets some decent speed on the not-so-great roads, long braid whipping in the wind behind him. It's the happiest he's been in a while, and even an hour goes by pretty quickly with it.
He pulls back around and slows to a stop next to his house, getting off and giving the bike a friendly pat like one would a pet.]
[Akira hops up onto a rooftop, and perches where he can find a good vantage point to make sure Duo manages to get around safely. Once he sees Duo heading back, he drops down out of sight, and is sitting casually nearby when Duo pulls up as if he'd been there the whole time. Nothing weird to see here, definitely no climbing buildings, he promises.
