Hello. My name is Link. I am Zelda's bodyguard. I hope everyone is staying warm.

Anyway... I liked to cook back at home. I cooked very often, in fact. All types of dishes from all around Hyrule. I'm self-taught.

Since coming to this place, I've found some things in the woods and around town that I would like to experiment with in cooking.

I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to assist me, or maybe even be my guinea pig for some of my attempted dishes. If you're wishing for some special meals in particular... maybe I can be that "Fairy Godmother" thing for you.

And, if you already know anything about local ingredients, I would love to know.

[This person reminds Link of Revali... a bit foul-mouthed and presumptuous. But if they know and like Zelda, they must not be too bad.

He's sitting outside, bundled up in winter wear and nurturing a freshly-lit campfire on the dirt road that laid just outside his overgrown front lawn. Beside him is a large metal soup pot, filled with assorted food and non-food items, and his shield, laying face-down in the grass.

He looks up from the fire to greet the stranger.] Yeah, that's me. Are you my first volunteer?

[ He's not reacting to her appearance, huh. Vriska looks at him thoughtfully for a moment, and then pulls down her scarf enough to show off her fangy grin. ]

You bet! I'm Vriska, by the way.

[ She'll kneel down beside him, sitting back on her heels, though she peers around him curiously at the soup pot. ]

So what do you have in there, anyway?

[Link isn't so unused to seeing strange races and creatures, despite having never met one of whatever this person is. Not even the fanged grin seems to particularly faze him.]

That's all the ingredients I collected. You can dump it out and take a look if you want.

[He looks up to give her a friendly smile and gets a closer look at her face. Yeah, he's never seen one of her before. That's cool.]

Vriska kinda pulls her head back when he peers at her, but she still smiles, if incredulously. ]

Haha. It's nice to meet you too! Honestly, I have an ulterior motive for coming out here, which is to figure out what makes you so special you can guard someone like Zelda. [ a grin, toothy. ]
