I hope everyone has recovered from the town’s most recent mystery. I had intended to make this post earlier, but I think all of us were distracted. It’s confusing, and I’m sorry if it’s hard to read as well.

My brother - Sinistra, #610B0B - and I went into the forest to try to recover the rest of the items I’d found with Guren. We were able to get the pocketwatch, but it’s broken. If anyone knows how to fix it, I would appreciate your instructions.

It does something as it is, though. It’s strange. When I hold it, it feels like nothing exists. It feels like none of us exist. It’s scary. I don’t know how else to describe it. The town feels like an illusion, and all of us even less than that. Those of you that have just arrived still feel “real,” but the people I’ve known for a long time are barely here. I'm barely here.

There are some other people who don’t feel as if they exist at all. We haven’t figured out that criteria yet. I don’t know why or how it’s like this. I’m sorry. I don’t know if the watch works for anyone but my brother and I, but I don’t want anyone else to touch it. I don’t think it’s a good idea. I’m sorry, again, but my brother or I will answer any questions you have.

it's good to know the effects aren't permanent, at least.

what uses do you think it could have? it might be prudent to find someone with a better chance of understanding it, if only to minimize risk. i would volunteer myself, but admittedly i know nothing of pocket watches...

I don’t know. If it’s based on how long we’ve been here, at least some of us, it could be a way of tracking the effect this town has on us. There are other aspects to it as well… not to mention what it might do if we can fix it.

so those who have been here longer will have less of a presence when you hold the watch? i wonder what that could mean? everyone seems solid enough, outside of it...the only way to know what it would do is to fix it though, unless you can find more information elsewhere.

It’s not just that. Some people don’t have a presence at all, even when I know they haven’t been here as long as others. I can’t figure out what they have in common, but…

I suppose it could all be meaningless. I want to think there’s something to it, though.

i agree there must be something to it, though i have no way to say just what. someone more familiar with the town's machinations might be able to...

regardless, i hope that you will share any answers you may find. perhaps this could be a key to our leaving this place.

I’ll share anything I find. The forest seems to be where all our clues are. I just wish it wasn’t so treacherous…

i would be happy to accompany you, if you ever wish to go out there. two heads are better than one, after all, and fighting is one of my strong points.

no need to worry! if there's anything i can handle, it's danger. and it would be for an important cause, as well.

i will make sure to keep you in mind, though, if i ever consider going out myself.
