[ It's his first time posting to the forum and Shiro's hex code is a dark blue, easy on the eyes. ]
Hello! I'm Takashi Shirogane (you can call me Shiro for short), back home I'm the captain of the IGF-Atlas. Some of you may know Keith, he's been around the forums a little more than me, we're both from the same world.
When I got here I noticed that the environment changes around the time those "quests" are completed, always after people have worked together toward a goal ... however weird it may be ... and on a side-note, thank you to whoever had enough influence to turn the harbour so colourful. It looks great.
Anyway, my point is that maybe we could all spend a day getting to know each other. I think it's a good idea for us to stay alert with the trees encroaching on the town but it can't hurt for us to come together and see what outcome an en masse meeting has. Maybe any new friendships formed will affect Chroma in a positive way in the future. In my experience team-bonding exercises can only lead to good things, and I think the community could benefit in the long term from a day spent opening up to each other.
So! I'm not suggesting a wild party, but some food definitely wouldn't go amiss. Would anyone be willing to cook for the town? We could work out some games too, like a competition to draw a town flag or figure out a motto, and music would also be great if we have any musicians with us. Whatever you can think of, feel free to suggest it.
I firmly believe that activities which bring us together can only make us stronger.
I look forward to getting to know more of you.
:)

[ Shiro has left the cabin doors wide open by the time Prompto arrives, well aware that if Ardyn shows up at any not-party then things may go downhill fast for Prompto. That isn't what Shiro wants. He can't stop Ardyn from Ardyn-ing and Prompto deserves to relax. ]
Hey, there you are! I thought you might like someone to listen to you in private, after what you said on the forums.
no subject
[Here is a young man who knows he deserves to be grounded.]
no subject
It's okay to be upset. Besides, in the time it took for you to get here, Ardyn replied. I doubt he'll show his face.
no subject
...Well. Good. Guess we can take turns.
[And, because that's kind of a non-sequitur:]
There's a different party he's going to that I'm skipping, so. That seems fair.
no subject
So you'll come? You know that if you can't find your friends in a jam, me and Keith are here for you too.
no subject
Did Iggy... say something to you? About me and Ardyn.
[Shiro didn't say, "If you and your friends are in a jam, we're here for you." The offer's been made to Prompto, specifically, and he can't be sure if Shiro knows.]
no subject
No, it's obvious how you feel about Ardyn from the way you both fight on the forums. Should Ignis have said something?
no subject
No. I just know he's talked to you about some stuff. Wasn't sure if that was part of the package.
no subject
I'm sure Ignis would never tell me anything personal about you without your consent, Prompto. You don't have to worry about that.
no subject
[Prompto will always be quick to defend his friends. Still, the heavy awkwardness trickles back in, and he looks away, rubbing the back of his neck.]
I only meant--I mean... I mean, it's sort of... something that affects everybody. Some of it, anyway. Or, well, it affects me and the guys, and maybe the other people from Lucis. It's just... I'm the only one who went through it yet, I guess. I'm ahead of everybody on the timeline. Except Ardyn.
no subject
Do you want to talk about it? Anything you have to say doesn't leave this room.
[ ... Keith will be in here later, but. Semantics. ]
no subject
Iggy must've said something, if you know enough to believe me about all that stuff I said.
no subject
I believe you because you said it, not because of anything Ignis did or didn't mention. Prompto, I'm listening to you right now. You have my attention.
no subject
I don't have any direct proof. Not with me. But... it was all true, what I said. Without Ardyn, they wouldn't have had the power to do all terrible things they did.
no subject
Okay. [ Ardyn being the key to the fall of a citystate doesn't sound like it would have much to do with Prompto directly. ] Why don't you start from the beginning and go from there? I get the feeling you're dancing around making your point.

The Empire mostly doesn't fight with human soldiers. Not anymore. They invented... they're called Magitek Troopers. MTs. They're mechanical, not people, so they can be mass-produced, specially designed for different tasks, controlled from a distance... all without endangering the people of Niflheim. Lucis, Accordo, Tenebrae, nobody had the tech--nobody had the numbers to deal with that. With the MTs, Niflheim just steamrollered all over the rest of the world.
[Prompto can't say any of this while looking at Shiro. He lowers his hands to his lap, one held tightly in the cup of the other, like his white-knuckled fingers are a lifeline.]
The guy who invented them, he couldn't have done it at all without Ardyn's help. Without his ideas about daemons. He said so himself.
no subject
[ After an explanation that emotionally fuelled, it's the only mystery left. Shiro asks gently, in case the answer is standing before him. ]
no subject
[...
No. It doesn't get any easier to say. Prompto takes a long, long breath before continuing.]
The guy who created me. Millions just like me. Except they didn't get the chances I did. All they ever got to be was what he made them for. An army of daemons and death machines.
no subject
[ That's the last thing he expects, eyes widening more than he might have if he were anyone else. Shiro tenses up for a moment, forcing himself to move closer (his limbs feel stiff with shock but he loosens them up for the sole purpose ahead) and rest his hand back on the boy's shoulder. ]
Are you telling me you're a clone?
no subject
Heh, ah, yeah, got it in one. Man, you catch on fast. I guess that stuff must be old hat for you space people, huh? Maybe half the population's cloned where you come from. Bet that gets confusing.
[Try as he might at humor, though, he still won't look Shiro in the eye, ducking low into his shoulders.]
no subject
Me too, Prompto. This is a cloned body.
