Hey... everyone. It's Keith.
So a couple things. I guess.
First. Someone brought it up already I think. A while back, but people are going missing. I know it's happened at least a couple times. Not anyone I ever really met, but one guy I was assigned to as a sparring partner, but I couldn't find him. It really seems like he's gone. Even his code has been struck from the network. Which seems pretty deliberate.
Is there anyone else?
If people are disappearing, or wandering off and getting hurt or... worse... I guess most people probably have friends to look out after them. Maybe not everyone though.
But even so, if people are disappearing and none of us know how or why. I think that's something we should probably at least think about and what it means for the rest of us.
Second. So I guess it's a little easier now that there are some colors to help remember, but the whole username code thing is confusing in keeping track of who is who. At least it is for me.
If it were voluntary, what do people think about putting together some sort of directory? Something we could keep updated and search by name and/or code.
It might help us keep track of people too.
And... If people do think it's worth pursuing, I'd be really grateful if anyone better at computers than me wants to help making it user friendly.
EDIT: And apparently some people are turning into statues. Which sounds horrifying. Anyone have info on this? Do we know how to reverse it?

A directory of everyone's codes would be useful. I have a lot written down, if you'd like me to send it to you.
Also apparently some people are turning into statues. I'm not sure if the one I found is one of the people you noticed missing, though.

Wait. What. Who? When?
What does their network tag look like? Is it struck and gone?
no subject
Her name is Vriska. I actually don't know her hex code, though, since I spoke to her before we all figured out the laptops were here. Do you remember the names of the people who went missing?
I only found out about this yesterday. Arisato-kun and I have no idea how it happened, so we just tried to make her comfortable in case she's still conscious.
no subject
But this girl... she's just a statue? Where did you find her?
Have you talked to any of the magic users here about whether they can help?
no subject
She's a friend's housemate, and he just found her like that. He's tried using magic to heal her already, but it didn't work.
no subject
There has to be something that can be done.
Is she the only one? Have you heard of it happening to anyone else?
no subject
Should we ask other healers if they're willing to try it with their magic? I don't doubt Arisato-kun's abilities, but maybe each world's magic has something different to it.
no subject
I'll let you know if I hear of anyone else.
With so many different abilities it probably can't hurt for someone else to try. Their magic might operate differently.
no subject
Do you have the name and hex code for the one who disappeared? I haven't seen any one with their codes struck out yet, but I'll double check the ones I know just in case.
no subject
And yeah. Umm. His name is Akihiko #DB1C1C

Also, it might be easier if I just make a copy of this list for you. I have it all written out in my notebook. Do you think you can come over? Or I could stop by your place instead.
no subject
Yeah, I can come over. Just tell me when and where.

Whenever Keith arrives, he'll be busy transferring the information that he'd written down onto another page of his notebook.]

And then he stands back to wait, trying not to fidget. Failing a little in that, he shifts from one foot to another.]

[And he'll lead Keith over to the table where he has his notebook laid out, before sliding a page he's clearly torn out over to him.]
Here's everything I have so far. I included the names of people I met that first day, too. I haven't managed to get their hex codes yet...
no subject
Wow. You've put together a lot. That's great.
[Keith frowns.] Is anyone even sure how many people there even are in this place?
[This is why Dave's census idea is definitely a good expansion on the directory idea.]
I know some of them. Er... that is. I have them written down back home. I can't remember them at all off the top of my head.
no subject
I don't think anyone's gotten an accurate count yet... [Izuku cups his chin in thought.] It'd be a good idea to do that, though, especially if people are going missing.
I wonder what happened to them. And how anyone's keeping track--they must be, if their names are getting struck through like that.
no subject
[And once he gets the directory up and running there won't be any need for it anymore. Keith nods.] That's sort of part of the plan I think. Dave brought up getting into on who is here and where they're living too. So we can keep better track of who goes missing and look out for each other.
[Keith frowns.] Whoever or whatever brought us here knows and I'm sure they're keeping track. The crossings are more proof that the network is being monitored.
no subject
We should keep an eye out especially for the people who are here alone. Um, I mean, who don't have anyone else from their world here with them. At least I know if one of my classmates disappeared, I'd notice it right away.
[He gives an unhappy huff and crosses his arms over his chest.] I don't like the idea of someone just watching us and staying silent when people are disappearing.
no subject
Other people could disappear without much notice, if they're here on their own.
[Like Keith himself really.
But he nods in full agreement.]
I think it's more than that. They're likely than not the reason for the disappearances.
no subject
If there's no one from home to watch out for them, then we'll have to step in and help them ourselves.
You think so? [Izuku frowns, but not discounting the theory.] It would be odd if they put so much effort to bring us here, only to make us disappear. And why give us those quests in the first place?
[Something sparks in his eyes now as he thinks.] Oh, that's another reason we should keep the roster. We can keep track of the people who have disappeared and see if there's a pattern to it, too.
no subject
Agreed. No one should be left to fend for themselves.
[Keith shakes his head slightly.] Not if we become more of a hindrance or threat than an asset for them. Maybe the disappeared folks saw or heard something they shouldn't, discovered something whoever is running this place doesn't want them to know, or to share. Maybe they brought all of us here for some other purpose, and this is just a holding room until they snatch us off one by one.
[He doesn't mean to be so cynical. But he has his moments.] That's a good point though. It's definitely something I need to work on.
no subject
Well, you won't be doing it alone. [Somber as things might have become, Izuku still tries his best to smile.] I'll keep you updated if I see anything, too.
