Hey... everyone. It's Keith.

So a couple things. I guess.

First. Someone brought it up already I think. A while back, but people are going missing. I know it's happened at least a couple times. Not anyone I ever really met, but one guy I was assigned to as a sparring partner, but I couldn't find him. It really seems like he's gone. Even his code has been struck from the network. Which seems pretty deliberate.

Is there anyone else?

If people are disappearing, or wandering off and getting hurt or... worse... I guess most people probably have friends to look out after them. Maybe not everyone though.

But even so, if people are disappearing and none of us know how or why. I think that's something we should probably at least think about and what it means for the rest of us.


Second. So I guess it's a little easier now that there are some colors to help remember, but the whole username code thing is confusing in keeping track of who is who. At least it is for me.

If it were voluntary, what do people think about putting together some sort of directory? Something we could keep updated and search by name and/or code.

It might help us keep track of people too.

And... If people do think it's worth pursuing, I'd be really grateful if anyone better at computers than me wants to help making it user friendly.

EDIT: And apparently some people are turning into statues. Which sounds horrifying. Anyone have info on this? Do we know how to reverse it?

izuku and i are starting to collect hex codes from people, too, because you and i talked about it last time. he has a few i don't have and i've been collecting some from people, too. i can send them to you here or somewhere else or whatever.

Yeah he mentioned having some. As long as those people are good having their names and codes attached to one another, then yeah. That'd be great.

Some girl named Vriska. I don't think I've met her, in person at least. Minato and Izuku found her.

Yeah, most people don't seem to be concerned with staying anonymous. I think that's better.

I guess her housemate found her a couple days ago. I don't really have the details or anything myself. Not yet anyway. Just a few bits and pieces.

But. Yeah, it's not a great train of thought, but it's true. We're definitely at the mercy of whoever brought us here in that way. For now. And with people disappearing and being transformed, we need to figure out how to turn the tables at least slightly to our side.

a good start would be fixing vriska and asking her if she remembers how it happened. a first-hand account is a good idea even if she will probably just yell about it for a while.
the other question is if it is possible for someone to disappear and be transformed at the same time or if they are two different instances.

It would. Having a first hand witness would be a huge help. And finding a way to reverse this for Vriska's sake, but also in case it happens again.

That's a good point. So far it looks like those who disappear and those who've been turned into statues, one of the differences is what happens to their user codes on the network.

i really, really hope this never happens again.
oh yeah. i just checked vriska's and you are right, hers is still in tact and not crossed out or anything.
which brings up the NEXT big problem.
where did the others go?
do we have to organize search parties and stuff?

So do I. But I don;'t think we can count on being that lucky.
I really do think that's a good sign.

Probably not a bad idea, honestly. But there's a lot of ground to cover.

we went into the woods once already in organized parties. if people are up to it, we can reorganize again. that is the good thing about this place and the people here. people don't like sitting around.

That's true. There's also the docks and the water. And the town itself. There are buildings no one is using very often, after all, some of them falling down on themselves. That's the sort of place someone could get stuck or hurt.

i've been checking some of the old buildings lately.
if we make it a point to do a sweep of the town at least once every couple of days we can probably prevent stuff like this from going unnoticed for a while.
what else do we have to do here?

So yeah, not much. It kind of sounds like you're suggesting setting up some sort of patrol.

been there, done that.
but yeah, maybe i am. it would be worth a try. keep us busy, keep us alert.
