Hey... everyone. It's Keith.

So a couple things. I guess.

First. Someone brought it up already I think. A while back, but people are going missing. I know it's happened at least a couple times. Not anyone I ever really met, but one guy I was assigned to as a sparring partner, but I couldn't find him. It really seems like he's gone. Even his code has been struck from the network. Which seems pretty deliberate.

Is there anyone else?

If people are disappearing, or wandering off and getting hurt or... worse... I guess most people probably have friends to look out after them. Maybe not everyone though.

But even so, if people are disappearing and none of us know how or why. I think that's something we should probably at least think about and what it means for the rest of us.


Second. So I guess it's a little easier now that there are some colors to help remember, but the whole username code thing is confusing in keeping track of who is who. At least it is for me.

If it were voluntary, what do people think about putting together some sort of directory? Something we could keep updated and search by name and/or code.

It might help us keep track of people too.

And... If people do think it's worth pursuing, I'd be really grateful if anyone better at computers than me wants to help making it user friendly.

EDIT: And apparently some people are turning into statues. Which sounds horrifying. Anyone have info on this? Do we know how to reverse it?

Yeah. I know he hasn't recovered everything from that time. A lot has come back though. But he's strong. The strongest person I know, so if anyone can handle it, it's Shiro.

Either way. I don't know if there's any way for us to keep track of our memories if whatever brought us here decides to mess with them. I haven't seen any evidence of that yet, except for none of us knowing how we wound up down that well in the first place, at least.

I can't say I've figured out how we ended up here, but I'm certain I'm not missing any memories. Nothing happened before our arrival--it was almost certainly instantaneous.

Frankly, magic is a likely cause. We simply need to find the source of it.

And you can be certain about that? Weren't you just talking about how people couldn't be certain about exactly that?

Magic or some frightening impressive technology. Or some combination, which is what I'm most used to these days. But either way, you're right. We need to find the source.

Yes, I was. But I was talking about you--that is, everyone else here. Things work a bit differently for me; some might call it a gift.

[ Or, you know, a curse. Depends on if you're Kyrie. ]

I'm not sure what sort of technology could cause such a mess, myself. Teleportation and a mass loss of color, among other things, seems to be fairly advanced.

What sort of gift is that?

Teleportation is nothing. That's similar enough to tech I know. The color thing is new. But I don't know any magic that works that way either. But I'll be honest I've mostly seen magic from a distance. And a year ago I would've said there's no such thing.

The gift of a brain, of course.

In any case, we appear to be from opposite ends of the spectrum... I've been in close contact with magic, personally, and I've seen it do any number of things both to help and to harm.

You know everyone else has a brain too, right? Or at least nearly everyone.

Yeah. There are a lot of people here from worlds like that, I think. I talked to a lot of people who didn't know much about the kind of technology that's really mundane and everyday where I'm from.

Nearly everyone is right. But, suffice to say, mine is far more reliable. I can be 100% certain my memories are wholly intact.

I'll admit though, I'm curious about this technology of yours. What exactly does it allow?

How exactly does that work?

Uh well, a lot of things. I mean, Altean technology allows for intergalactic travel in seconds with the wormholes the teludav can open. And their healing technology is really impressive too.

Like I told you before, it simply does. You'll just have to trust me.

[ Also wow, way to make Kyrie feel stupid for a second there, Keith. Those sure are some concepts he's totally unfamiliar with. ]

Intergalactic travel? I wasn't aware such a thing was possible.

[ Says the scarecrow, from Oz, who met a girl from Kansas and her dog via tornado... But like, at least that was abnormal even for him. ]

Uh huh.

In fairness, humans haven't figured it out. Humans have managed to travel to the edge of the solar system, but not really any farther than that yet. But other alien races are way beyond what Earth technology is capable of. That's what I've gotten used to lately.
