Crowe here.

It seems what you write in these notebooks becomes real.

Anyone interested in joining in to make real stuff that'll be for the entire town? Maybe pushing and keeping the trees back past Nyx's walls, or other things that might be good for everyone?

I'd advise against this. You know the old saying - "If it's too good to be true, it probably is."

What if that price is something truly horrible to play? Why would this place offer us such a boon of kindness out of the blue?

We know death isn't permanent here, so at the very least that's off the table. But this place does have the ability to warp our emotions and doesn't care if we suffer mentally, emotionally, and physically.

Living in fear? I can't say it's better, but it is safer.

I suppose nothing I say can dissuade you otherwise.

Just be careful.

I understand. Worrying just comes natural to me, especially in this place.

As well as one can be, especially with this new addition to consider.

I just can't trust it, no matter what arguments are made.

Of course. As a healer, I consider it my duty to look out for us all.

I wouldn't be opposed (◕ ˬ ◕✿)
I don't have much in the way of material wants, truthfully
But it since it seems like it may take quite a bit of ink to accomplish anything substantial I'm open to the prospect of combining forces to make life here a bit more comfortable

I'm unsure what this will do for forging bonds, truthfully.

[ Because she's an antisocial cynic ]

But logically, big things require lots of magic
so I would assume larger creations would require more ink – if that just so happens to bring us altogether then I suppose that's fine.
This place is a bit provincial to say the least, if we're all going to live here it wouldn't hurt to make it more modern
Are there any facilities people have wanted or asked for?

I have to wonder if this alone would be enough to keep them away
The forest seems resilient
and what's more
were they here before you all arrived?
it would seem unfair to limit them when this was their home first

[colour]

Given the risks of cutting down the trees now, I would be very interested in joining you in pushing the trees behind the walls by this method.

How might we best combine our efforts?

That is possible.
We will know once we try.

This thought is perhaps simply a symptom of the time I am from, however I must admit that it is unusual to see ink coloured like this.

It makes me wonder if we should somehow make the ink black like it is supposed to be.

But this being the kind of place it is, I'm sure there is some meaning to us having coloured ink.

Trying on a small scale sounds like a very reasonable solution.
I would be willing to give some of my ink to experiment with.

If a Blue were to join us, perhaps we would see the best results.

My thanks, Crowe-dono.

Please keep me informed, and perhaps we shall meet in person soon.

[[ooc: to that end, would you like to thread out what follows? The mods might like to see us thread getting three or four bottles of ink together to effect such a large change on the forest.]]

What about a map?

Not just of the town. Our entire surroundings.
bakedapple: (fanart // sunset)

[personal profile] bakedapple 2019-06-18 05:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you think that's possible? What makes you wonder that?
bakedapple: (fanart // profile)

[personal profile] bakedapple 2019-06-23 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I suppose. I've never seen any sign of other people from within the woods, though - only creatures.
bakedapple: (Default)

[personal profile] bakedapple 2019-07-10 03:39 pm (UTC)(link)
That's a good point... I'd just expect to see some sign of them, that's all. Smoke on the horizon, dropped items, footprints...

[Link isn't the type to argue, and besides, she could be right. He's just not sure that's really the more probable option...]

Maybe the map can help us get deeper enough into the forest to find those signs. Maybe they're all in the plains, and we need to look more carefully.
