Anyone interested in joining in to make real stuff that'll be for the entire town? Maybe pushing and keeping the trees back past Nyx's walls, or other things that might be good for everyone?

What if that price is something truly horrible to play? Why would this place offer us such a boon of kindness out of the blue?

What would you find horrible as a price?

We know death isn't permanent here, so at the very least that's off the table. But this place does have the ability to warp our emotions and doesn't care if we suffer mentally, emotionally, and physically.

But is the alternative any better, in this case?

Living in fear? I can't say it's better, but it is safer.

Yeah, well, the trees are already inside the town, with all their ill effects. They are breaking into houses.

I don't think 'safe' is an option, at this point. Just a matter of a few choosing to face the uncertain bad effects for the sake of making sure everyone doesn't stuffer the bad effects we know.

I don't have much in the way of material wants, truthfully
But it since it seems like it may take quite a bit of ink to accomplish anything substantial I'm open to the prospect of combining forces to make life here a bit more comfortable

But logically, big things require lots of magic
so I would assume larger creations would require more ink – if that just so happens to bring us altogether then I suppose that's fine.
This place is a bit provincial to say the least, if we're all going to live here it wouldn't hurt to make it more modern
Are there any facilities people have wanted or asked for?

They don't have to be positive bonds. Apparently. So you pick whatever you want.

And, I mean, I'd put safety before comfort, but that might not be to everyone's preference. I mean, running hot water is great and everything, but when trees make you apathetic or, like, end up growing through your bathroom, that kind of things sort of steals from the appreciation of modern items regained.

The forest seems resilient
and what's more
were they here before you all arrived?
it would seem unfair to limit them when this was their home first

We won't know until we try. Hopefully, it'll at least give us time to figure something else out.

I'm pretty sure that when people like us started arriving here, the forest was a ways off around the town. Now the trees are among the houses. And it's been like. A year and change. A year and a half? Something like that.

Not sure that's how it's supposed to work.

I think big things take up a lot of ink to write, so start writing with one person's ink and keep going with the next person's?

This thought is perhaps simply a symptom of the time I am from, however I must admit that it is unusual to see ink coloured like this.

It makes me wonder if we should somehow make the ink black like it is supposed to be.

But this being the kind of place it is, I'm sure there is some meaning to us having coloured ink.

I guess there's always trying to mix a drop each of several colors. See if it'll ever get to black, and if it makes any difference, wiriting with the mix?

Trying on a small scale sounds like a very reasonable solution.
I would be willing to give some of my ink to experiment with.

If a Blue were to join us, perhaps we would see the best results.

okay I was going to put things up properly but travel and time zones kind of messed me up. Do we have a fourth person who will give in their ink? Tonbokiri, Crowe, and Nyx definitely. We can ask the mods if it can be said to happen and thread it out?

Yeah, me neither. But that doesn't mean there aren't any. If we can't get out, they can't get in.

Maybe the map can help us get deeper enough into the forest to find those signs. Maybe they're all in the plains, and we need to look more carefully.
