Despite what most might wish, it's become evident that the lot of us will be here for some time. It's irresponsible to continue without a baseline to work on in regards to sustaining us long term.
A garden is a fair start, of course. However, with the ever-increasing amount of danger, it would be worth investing in a clinic of sorts.
It should be a designated spot, ideally as near to the center of town as is convenient, with supplies available for first aid. If anyone would care to volunteer to maintain it, it would be best to have someone knowledgeable on site or nearby, should their services be required.
We have healers among us to handle more extensive injuries, but if there are any doctors who might be familiar with more than just first-aid as well--perhaps medicine, or experience with making it? If not, then anyone willing to learn will suffice. We may not have the materials needed for anything extensive, but there are those among us who would benefit from even some basic supplements, I'm sure.
It's best to assign such roles early, rather than wait until it's required. We don't know when we might need it.

I was part of our school's infirmary committee back home. So, nothing major, but I can work my way around bandages and antiseptic quite well. I could at very least manage the inventory and keep track of things until someone more qualified comes around. My bedside manner is also a 10 out of 10.
The doctor I worked with was more on the experimental side, making medicines and the like but... well, even at my most desperate, I'm glad he's not around.

Wonderful! Then that's decided. As for where exactly it will be, I can't say. If you'd like to pick out a building that seems suited, I'm sure any near the center would suffice.
I don't suppose you picked anything up from this doctor of yours? Had he taught you anything in regards to mixing medicine? Regardless of his own methods, it would be to our advantage here.

I'll see what I can do on that front! I remember someone discussing a storehouse, I can probably message them and see if they've run into any medical supplies.
I'm much better at the application than the manufacture, I'm afraid. I'd also worry about how easily we can make things... for example, the discolored food had no taste or texture so an herb or root that was previously medicinal might have no value until we restore its color.

That's unfortunate, but brings up a good point... While the food still seemed to maintain its nutritional value, there's no real way to measure such a thing in such a short time. And, given the wild nature of the plants here, there's always the possibility of doing more harm than good.

It's a shame that #ffffff doesn't respond to requests when it comes to, well, requests. As it stands, we have to roll with things as they're presented to us...
