USER: #DC143C - QUESTION FOR EVERYONE
[ USER: #DC143C ]
Hey. So...
...
Question for anyone. Or for everyone I guess.
How sure are you that you're still alive? Back where you're from I mean.
Like on a scale from 1 to 10. Where 1 is "I definitely died" and 10 is "I'm definitely still alive" and everything in between.
Thanks in advance. I know it's a weird question. I just... I gotta know.
[He's asked some folks, but the results so far are mixed. And Keith needs to figure out one way or another if this is just some weird unexpected afterlife, and he's at a solid 2.5 on his own scale so he's wondering.]

The impact? Where you falling down somewhere? Or being thrown?
[This doesn't sound good at all!]
no subject
No, nothing like that. My ship was about to crash into a barrier, and hopefully take that barrier out.
no subject
[Scaring the living daylights out of Shiho had actually hit him more since ... you know. He knows that he can be not the best sight but a reaction like that was totally uncalled for!]
That's...
SO SAD!!!
But also so manly, it's like you're going down to give others a chance!
no subject
[Keith is quiet before he actually gets to writing the next part so the whole response post takes a little longer than it might have otherwise. He hasn't really had time to stop and think about it much. Should he be sad? He should probably be sad. But he's still on such an adrenaline rush with first the battle then winding up here.
Huh.]
Hopefully give them a chance. The universe needs them -- Voltron and the resistance.
no subject
[He waits until Keith replies, wondering if he will even get another reply.]
I haven't heard of Voltron or the resistance before. Are they something like heroes where you come from?
I think I get you, though. A while ago I jumped in front of Fat and used my own body to buy him the time he needed to come up with a counter attack. I was already fully broken at that time and knew that going in there again would most likely pulverize me slowly but... Okay, that sounds unmanly, but I was more scared of what would happen if I didn't do it. So I just did it anyway, even though I could have gotten killed.
no subject
Right. Optimism. We should try that.
[He's not good at it.]
Yeah, that's a good word for them. Back home, we got caught up in ths alien war. This one group has been conquering the galaxy piece by piece for millennia, and we're finally starting to turn the tide against them, get people back their freedom. And there's now way that happens without Voltron.
Doesn't sound unmanly. Sounds brave, to take that sort of risk no matter what state you were in.
1/2
Huuuh.
Sorry, I'm still having trouble wrapping my head around the idea that there's supposed to be like... other worlds? universes? places that sound like they could be right out of movies or books. We don't have aliens where I'm from.
[Mina aside, but it's not like she's a REAL alien.]
no subject
[No thanks to Kirishima and one of his genius ideas. He can't say that he regrets any of the decisions he has made or the things he has done leading up to that fateful night, but... It's hard not to feel at least a little bit responsible. Even if it had happened sooner or later anyway.]
Thanks. I wouldn't recommend it for trying it out at home, though. I only survived because I was unbreakable and even like that he'd only have had to hit me in a different spot once and the others would have had even more reason to get upset at me than they already were.

No one thought there were aliens in my universe either, until they showed up. Even now, aside from my friends, no other humans even know they exist, or know anything about the war.
[But. Aliens aside.]
You're from that universe with the super powers. So that's your ability?
no subject
Yep, I'm from the place with all the Quirks, if that's what you mean! And it'd be nice if I really had an ability like that! ☆=(ゝω・)
All I can do is turn hard. Like, really hard, the one time somebody tried to shoot me the bullet bouncedc right off my head. Not the other thing! (Trust me, I've heard all the jokes)
no subject
That's what I meant, yeah.
Huh. You can actually be bulletproof? That's impressive. But not all the time? Only when you choose to be?
no subject
Do you have something like that too?
no subject
And me? Nah. Not at all. I'm just a regular old huma--
Well, that's not true either. But I don't have any special powers, at least.
[It would seem the only thing he inherited from his maternal alien side is his attitude problems so.]
no subject
I'm just an ordinary human too, by the way. It's just the way humanity has evolved for us. Go some decades ago and there weren't any quirks either.
[Tell him about attitude problems after you met his best friend or the upperclassman he works with during his internship. Kirishima basically lives and breathes dealing with 'tricky' cases.]
no subject
I just kind of got swept up into it. And it wouldn't have been right not to help if I could.
I suppose what we see as normal or ordinary depends on where we're coming from.
no subject
Still, you could have turned or run away. It takes especially guts when you're suddenly faced with something that's bigger than you and you don't have any powers to do anything against it. I salute you and that manly spirit of yours! ^_^b
Haha, for sure! I gave somebody half a heart attack when I climbed out of that well we all seem to have arrived at, just because I had my quirk activated and using it look like a mutant one... |D;; Its one thing worrying that you might end up scaring somebody with your looks and ending up actually doing it, that's for sure!
Wait, when you said you're going to space and if you don't have any quirks then are you doing it all with nothing but technology??
no subject
Your quirk changes how you look? Physically? That's really interesting.
Yeah. Human technology has gotten people as far as the edge of Earth's solar system. My friends and I got swept up in some alien conflict though, and alien tech is so far beyond what humans have managed it's crazy.
no subject
Ahh, that sounds amazing! I wish I could see it! Back home most tech is quirk-support oriented nowadays, I bet what you work with is far better than ours!
no subject
Huh. All of this kind of goes over my head I think.
The tech the Blade uses and that the Alteans use is really amazing. They can travel distances that take us months in seconds. And farther than that through wormholes in no time at all. But even earth technology has made some pretty impressive leaps of its own.
no subject
like the bristly tail of a cat! You know cats, right? When they get scared or mad their tails get all floofy and bristle up, my quirk's like that! I can bristle up for self-defense or to fight, but I don't have to! Does that make more sense?
And that sounds awesome! Did you travel through a wormhole before?
no subject
That... is actually really helpful analogy. Thank you.
Yeah, pretty often. Still don't really understand the physics of it, but they're incredible. And a little disorienting the first time or two.
no subject
And that sounds so exciting! The only comparable thing I ever did was to go through a black hole and that wasn't as much traveling than falling through it because the owner of the warp gate skill was a pretty big ass. I and my friend also didn't end up all that far away, we were even still in the same building.
