USER: #DC143C - QUESTION FOR EVERYONE
[ USER: #DC143C ]
Hey. So...
...
Question for anyone. Or for everyone I guess.
How sure are you that you're still alive? Back where you're from I mean.
Like on a scale from 1 to 10. Where 1 is "I definitely died" and 10 is "I'm definitely still alive" and everything in between.
Thanks in advance. I know it's a weird question. I just... I gotta know.
[He's asked some folks, but the results so far are mixed. And Keith needs to figure out one way or another if this is just some weird unexpected afterlife, and he's at a solid 2.5 on his own scale so he's wondering.]

I don't remember dying, but even if I am still alive, I've probably only got seconds left. Maybe a minute or two at most. But so long as this isn't the afterlife, I'm gonna do whatever I can to find a way out of here. For everyone.

I appreciate your candor, about your situation.
If it reassures you at all, I do not believe this is the afterlife. I cannot fathom how me or my classmates would have died.
It seems as though we've fallen into a different reality, or something.

And that is reassuring. I'd hate to think I was going to wreck someone's eternal peace or whatever by fighting tooth and nail to get out of here. So if that's not a concern, one less thing to worry about.
Different reality is my guess, too. Though I don't know how, or how so many of us from so many other realities all landed in the same place. But the science behind alternate realities isn't exactly my specialty.

However, I do know a little about the theory, because of one of my teachers. Alternate universes can often be mirrors, with just minor variation, while others have major ones.
Does your world have Quirks, or if you aren't familiar with the term, individuals who have supernatural or pseudonatural talents that are genetic in origin? Mutations, some might call them.
no subject
No, nothing like that. I've talked to some people here who mentioned that word though, so I get the implication of what it means.
Nothing like that in my universe. There's an intergalactic war, but most people on Earth aren't aware of it yet.

My world has not traveled that far into space, outside of isolated incidents. Quirk manifestation changed the course of our development, I feel.
My name is Momo, by the way.

So people really just... started developing powers? Did something happen to kick it off?
Keith. Good to meet you.
no subject
A pleasure, Keith.
Are you a soldier in this war?
no subject
So... mice gave people super powers. Huh. Well, I suppose since I've piloted sort of sentient lion robots in an alien war, I probably shouldn't say anything.
Something like that, yeah. I fight. I guess we're more of a resistance than an army though.
no subject
What are these aliens like?
no subject
I've got a new threshold for weird is all. This place still qualifies.
Depends on the alien. I've met a lot of different peoples. Some are great, you know? Others are... not.

Pretty much. But there are some generalities -- they don't apply to everyone though. The Galra Empire, generally, are bad news. They're the conquering force in the war we're fighting. But some Galra are fighting against the Empire too.
[Which is an important distinction for this particular half-Galra resistance fighter.]

But. Not really humanity. My friends are the only humans even involved. Earth hasn't been involved yet, and we're trying to keep it that way. Enough of the universe has fallen already. We're taking it back. Slowly but surely.
no subject
Probably not for you, since you live it, but it sounds like quite the adventure.
Thankfully, my reality's problems are mostly confined to the league of supervillains.
no subject
Supervillains. See, that sounds pretty intense though.
no subject
But they are somewhat frightful.
They keep coming after my class, because of our teacher we think.
All-Might is a really famous hero, and there'd be a lot of prestige in beating him or his students.
no subject
Sounds kind of rough. But I guess you're probably pretty prepared for it, if it keeps happen. And you're in... superhero school.
no subject
And we have great teachers, so it's generally fine.
no subject
Well. Glad to hear it. That said, having to fight all the time gets exhausting, doesn't it? Or is that kind of what you signed up for in the first place?
no subject
Heroes help people, though I'm not usually at the forefront. I work better at rescue and evacuation operations.
no subject
[...Keith doesn't mean to be so cynical. It just happens.]

Another cluster of people who know each other. I really wonder if there's a pattern. Like, not only are the people from your particular world, they're people you actually know right?
