USER: #A5211F - Defense Force
(COLOR)
Any of you who were able to go to the town meeting organized by Mitsuru will know that we discussed a designated defense force for the town. For those of you who weren't, or for anyone who wants a recap, I'll go over this as briefly as I can.
We know the forest is full of creatures not everyone understands, and that those dangers— or something similar— can leak into the town and cause trouble here, too. Those shadows were a perfect example, just like the speaking furniture. We're not always safe, and while there isn't always a threat that we can deal with physically to overcome it, having a defense force would make a lot of people more comfortable. Having people that are physically capable with someone at the top to organize them would be helpful to everyone, I think, especially those who aren't so combat ready.
So, I'm stepping up as leader. I didn't hear any opposition to that at the meeting itself, but if you want to know more about me, you can ask me whatever you want. Here's what I'm going to ask of all of you.
If you're interested in helping and capable in combat, no matter what methods you may use, then I'm asking you to sign up here. I'll keep a list of everyone, including their abilities and strengths/weaknesses, and organize this in a way that's most efficient. In order to do that, I also need suggestions.
Izuku mentioned patrols near the forest. That's one idea, and I want to hear any others that are out there, but here's the basic rundown:
I'll organize people by their strengths and put them in charge of certain activities or areas. How I do this depends on the number of people that sign up. If enough people sign up, I might assign ranks just enough for people to be able to report to someone even if I'm unable to be contacted or out of reach somehow. Once everyone who has wanted to has signed up, we'll schedule meetings and discuss what to do in case of an emergency, or other situations. Basic things like that are what I'm looking into, and most of it will come after I've heard from all of you, but let me know if you have any questions on any of it.
Before I end this, I have another quick question. What do you think our biggest weakness has been in all of this? What has caused the most harm, and if there was a drug that could aid you in this place, what would it be? A first aid or pain reducer? Strength enhancers? Magic resistance?
That's all. I'll answer any questions at any time as soon as I can.

(ooc: Gosh this got so long, but okay!! Like discussed at the town hall meeting, here's defense force sign ups and discussion!! This is just another great opportunity for CR and branching out thanks to IC discussion from characters (and thanks, Mitsuru, for bringing it up!), so feel free to suggest any and all things! Also, if your character wants to sign up but you don't want to tag this, just let me know oocly! You can hit me up oocly, too, if you have any questions or concerns with anything. PM me, or my plurk is
zeloser!
edit: just a minor edit, but sorry I'm slow! I meant to boomerang after work but I'll have to wake for my weekend mid/late saturday and on. I'll also throw up an ooc post/discussion thing for this at some point!)

I've been wondering about these. Do they have their own will, or are they strictly wired to follow your commands?
no subject
[Akira pauses to consider what exactly that means. It seems his suspicions have been confirmed, at least; someone besides him has shown Guren their Persona. He wonders who it was; isn't sure if it's okay to ask.]
But the Personas... they are me, and I am them. Our wills are connected and the same.
[So in short, yes, they follow his commands, although he doesn't really think of "commanding" them in that way. He casts the spell - the Persona is just how he does it. Like an incredibly fancy magic wand.]

[Immediately, he wonders how one of those would fair against a vampire, against a demon, against him... But he doesn't really want to bother with releasing demonic energy just to see. It's hard on a person, even if they're experienced, so.]
Then it's not so different... [From demons? Not quite, but from the demonic personality that spawns as a result of merging with a demon like this... Maybe it's like that.] Thanks for telling me. I won't tell anyone else without your permission, but it's important to know what people can do so I can sort us to our strengths.
I lost this notif aaaa
[There's a soft "poof," and he's back to being just Akira Kurusu, in his hoodie and some colorless pants he found here.]
You know I'm wanted for murder back home.
[His hand comes up to play with the sleeve of his hoodie.]
It's not just that. There are people who know my face now, and they want me dead. That's why I haven't been open about it.
notif why!!!
[Guren, focus. But really, it's meant to lighten the mood, and to reach out in a way and express his understanding. As much as he can.]
Are you afraid that someone here is going to want to kill you?
no subject
But he can't truly be that amused, when his attempted murderer is here, and has himself been declared family by the very man in front of him.]
I'm not ruling it out.
no subject
If you really think someone here is a risk to you, I want to know about it. It's not like I'm going to do anything out of nowhere. That would put more suspicion on me than anyone else.
[So!! It's fine.] But I don't want you to end up missing.
no subject
I don't know any specific names. I'm just saying, I can't know who's heard of the Phantom Thieves here.
[It's not that he doesn't trust Guren, it's just... he can't let anything blow his cover with Akechi now. And, if Guren knew... would he steal treat Akechi the same? Maybe Guren is a positive influence; Akira doesn't want to mess that up.]
no subject
[So, he watches him a moment longer, but then decides not to push or follow up with whatever it is he's seeming to hide. It could just be worry, paranoia, or it could be more directed than that, but Guren can't know unless he sees or hears it from someone.]
Either way, if you're in trouble, you've got family to look out for you. Remember that, and come to me if anything goes wrong. Having your abilities would help us.
no subject
[He really does. He feels bad, that he can't be totally honest with Guren right now, but... hopefully, he'll forgive him if he ever learns Akira's reasons.]
If anything changes, I'll tell you.
no subject
[He's very open... but then he's raising his hand and making a shooing motion.] But if that's all, then get out of my room already.
[There's no weight behind it at all, of course. He's the one who appreciates Akira coming to him with all of this. It means a lot.]
no subject
Yeah, yeah.
[He closes the door on his way out, feeling good that he told Guren. Somehow, it always feels better, entrusting someone with his secret. Like he won't have to live in the shadows forever.
With that, he goes back to his room.]
