Hello, everyone. It's Dextera.

I've recently come into the possession of a potion that allows me to speak with animals. It's limited in both quantity and effective time, but with everyone coming in recently, I've noticed that there are a lot of new animals running around the town. If anyone has very strong feelings about learning the emotions of their animal companions, please let me know. I'm willing to use the last of the potion to ask.

Additionally, it seems that the thoughts of the creatures in the forest are as distorted as their bodies. I could understand them, but I couldn't "understand" them. I did learn that the geese are very angry. For those of us who have been investigating the forest, I thought this would be of interest.

Apparently lobsters are able to make noise. I think that means they're "speaking," in some way.

These days animal-made artwork has become more common, so he may very well be the next famous artist in the works.

So far I have orange and purple paints. I've been working on a simple painting myself with solely those colours, but Da Vinci would likely prefer a wider variety.

It is a sunset. I have been painting it on one of my bedroom walls. It will not be long until it's finished, so you are welcome to come and see it.

For Da Vinci if he makes anything, as well.

I am thinking of gradually building on it as we bring back more colours of paints. To make a mural of sorts.

I am not certain what my favourite colour would be, though. That's quite a difficult question to ask. Do you have one?

[ a mural... it does sound nice. like a catalogue of all the colors of paints that have been restored, and in a way, a catalogue of the town. how far they've come, and in some ways, how far they still have to go. ]

I never thought about it before, but lately, I think my favorite color is purple.

I'm not very familiar with color symbolism, but it's never a waste to learn something new.

That's correct. Royalty, but along with that it can mean wealth, luxury and power. Mystery, as well.

And then, depending on if you prefer pale purple or dark purple, it can convey lighter or darker feelings.

[ it's a rich color, and dextera thinks it suits the person he's thinking of well enough, even if that thought is only in the back of his mind. ]

I think... I prefer the purple right at sunset. The one that we got back recently.

I think the way you speak is nice to listen to. I can hear your voice, when I read your words, and it's relaxing.

[ he listens more than most people do, out of necessity. voices are easy for him to memorize. ]
