Hello, everyone. It's Dextera.

I've recently come into the possession of a potion that allows me to speak with animals. It's limited in both quantity and effective time, but with everyone coming in recently, I've noticed that there are a lot of new animals running around the town. If anyone has very strong feelings about learning the emotions of their animal companions, please let me know. I'm willing to use the last of the potion to ask.

Additionally, it seems that the thoughts of the creatures in the forest are as distorted as their bodies. I could understand them, but I couldn't "understand" them. I did learn that the geese are very angry. For those of us who have been investigating the forest, I thought this would be of interest.

One that's hopefully doing a lot better, honestly! It was kind of having a rough time right before I got here, but I think we resolved the problem.

A garden... I'd say that's definitely worth looking into. Is it just vegetables?

There are a lot of things.

I've also been trying to grow berries in my spare time, but it takes a long time for plants to sprout.

If the weather's cooperative enough, I'd say it's worth the time and effort. Fresh fruit's really amazing!

Oh? Have you done a lot of gardening? The weather is really hard to predict here, so I'm never sure what to do.

Not at all, but a few places I used to frequent would carry them. That being said, if it's in the name of food, I wouldn't mind getting dirty.

There are also plenty of places to fish, if you're interested in that kind of thing. No need to get dirty when it's water.

I'd never fished before I came here. I've learned things I never expected to. Some fish have a lot of legs.

I think so, but I'm admittedly no zoologist. They look like fish, and they do live in the water.

I wonder how they do outside of the water... that's a really interesting-sounding fish!

There are a lot of interesting fish in the harbor, but I think they're probably best left alone.
