It appears that as a group we've all generally agreed to utilize this forum as a means of sharing relevant information with each other and pooling collectively our experiences as we grow acclimated to our new circumstances, so in a similar vein — a few questions, if you will.

1) Has anything verifiably edible (and safe for consumption) been found in the wilds surrounding this town?

2) Has anyone yet identified a foodstuff that isn't altogether flavorless?

the same thing as most people, i think! lots of berries, a REALLY weird fish... they filled me up and i feel fine, so i guess that's all that matters. beggars can't be choosers!

Seeing as you've got plenty of answers, I doubt any from me are going to provide you with more information you don't know! But, I had intended to go hunting as some point, though the creatures in the forest fall under the same pattern as the fish: too many limbs or eyes or... etc. I don't see them ending up any differently, if the pattern continues. And I don't see any reason why it wouldn't.

I didn't even tell you what else there were extras of. I guess with how some other people are eating things, I should mention I cooked mine over a fire first.

I've nothing to say that hasn't already been said, but if I could venture a guess, the flavorlessness of our food is similar to the lack of color in everything else here. This town is lacking a certain something. What that might be is beyond me at the moment, unfortunately.

There are some, erm, "animals" in the woods that could be hunted.

They're not exactly normal looking though.

Also, the network seems great for all this sort of stuff. But there's no way whoever brought us here can't ready every word of it.

The gardens in Flavo have seeds and some... obscure vegetables. Right now they're highly untamed but we may be able to clean them up and create a renewable food source.

No accounting for taste, though! All terribly bland.

There is a difference between the taste of something and whether it is safe for human consumption.

For example: lead chips taste sweet, but that doesn't mean it's safe to eat them.

There should be a program that would allow for it. One of the other users on this forum was drawing pictures on a recent post.

"Really weird fish" does seem to be an increasingly common experience. Were you using a net, or did you manage to find a fishing rod somewhere?

Well, now that you've said that, you can't very well leave me in suspense.

Less compiling a list and more simply taking a consensus. Sharing knowledge would seem to benefit everyone, at this point.

It appears to make one of us think of all of those things, at least, though I can't say as I really understand why.

1) You're offering to potentially die in the name of science?
2) Can you elaborate on "gross", as a descriptor? Another few adjectives would be helpful.

I don't suppose you've come across any indication of why the fauna here appears to have altogether too many eyes and limbs. Some sort of mutation, perhaps?

Tasted bad, meaning it tasted like ash? That seems to be the most common descriptor.

There are a lot of "why"s this town presents to us on a daily basis, but I don't think we've yet to find any answers.

I've heard it speculated that we were brought here to assist with that, somehow. That whatever it is that may be "lacking", those brought here may have some ability to remedy it.
