hey forums! my name's prompto argentum, i'm another one of the new guys. if you're one of the people who helped me last week i wanted to thank you all and let you know i'm fine now!! (*´╰╯`๓)♬ i've been staying with my friends in bluo and so it took me a while to go look for my laptop in flavo.

anyway i'm sorta curious about something. do a lot of people here come from worlds where magic is really commonplace? like, magic's deffs a thing where i come from but not a lot of PEOPLE have it, you know what i mean? it's in the environment and of course the astrals are magic and some wildlife and monsters have it but it's restricted to only a couple important bloodlines in humans, them and the people they share it with.

you don't have to answer if it's personal and you're like a magical vigilante with a double life or something, i just sort of wanted a sense of where everybody's at since it's so weird to me to see so many people talking about or using magic powers so casually. not bad weird!! just weird.

no i guess there aren't. but i guess i find even "trying to take over the world" more understandable than "cranky cause someone woke me up trying to prevent the END of the world."

I mean I could make a case for destroying an entire city but the qualifier would be "it has to be full of shitty people".

it was full of normal people. also it was really pretty. dunno if it was prettier than insomnia but like. it was really, really nice.

anyway no the oracle was waking them up. then it was our job to like, talk them into helping us. usually that meant fighting them but the fulgurian just made us run around in the rain forever and touch some trees.

There's kind of a big difference between talking people into something and then fighting people into something.

The Fulgarian sounds pretty all right though. Except for the part about running around in the rain. Fuck rain.

ugh yeah it was all about like testing my friend's worthiness for their power and crap. he tried to talk to the archaean and the hydraean but they were like RAWWWARARARGHGHGHARUGHRHGH!! about it. or at least that's what i understood, since i don't come from a blessed magical bloodline or whatever.

What a dick move. I hate people like that, who just lord it over you when they think they're better than you. ~Testing your worthiness~ like who the fuck are you to decide that, anyway.




I mean I guess in your case they're gods but like. You get the idea.

it'd be pretty hard to argue with the astrals about them being better than us even if we could understand them. they're definitely bigger and stronger than us and crazy powerful.

but just 'cause it'd be hard to argue with them doesn't mean they're right. sure maybe they're better than ME, but the guy they were testing?

i mean i already said i prefer the people over the gods 100%. can't say whether that's blasphemous or not but i don't care. (￣^￣ﾒ)

...Okay so I'm going to tell you something and maybe it's going to sound kind of crazy.

But there's a difference between knowing something is better than you and accepting that.

Like realistically, okay, you should be aware and mindful of the things that can crush you like a but that also doesn't mean you have to just...sit back and be okay with it I guess.

huh. that's really deep, i'll probably have to think about that more before i know how i feel about it.

mostly i was just thinking in terms of GOODNESS my friend's absolutely got them beat. he really, really, really really cares about things. people and animals and cities and his friends, everybody. he'd have never wrecked a whole city just because he couldn't keep his temper in check, and he's the grouchiest sleepy asshole ever.
