hey forums! my name's prompto argentum, i'm another one of the new guys. if you're one of the people who helped me last week i wanted to thank you all and let you know i'm fine now!! (*´╰╯`๓)♬ i've been staying with my friends in bluo and so it took me a while to go look for my laptop in flavo.

anyway i'm sorta curious about something. do a lot of people here come from worlds where magic is really commonplace? like, magic's deffs a thing where i come from but not a lot of PEOPLE have it, you know what i mean? it's in the environment and of course the astrals are magic and some wildlife and monsters have it but it's restricted to only a couple important bloodlines in humans, them and the people they share it with.

you don't have to answer if it's personal and you're like a magical vigilante with a double life or something, i just sort of wanted a sense of where everybody's at since it's so weird to me to see so many people talking about or using magic powers so casually. not bad weird!! just weird.

As for magic, it did not exist at all in my world; I was quite shocked to hear it is common in other places when it's the stuff of fairy-tales and folklore to people like me. I admit that London and Paris seem terribly boring in comparison now.

what's london and paris?

They are cities I lived in back home. Both of them being very exciting cultural centers - but completely lacking in magic and monsters, unlike your home.

ahaha well ideally our cities don't have monsters in them either. ヾ(´▽｀;) i didn't run into most of that stuff until the day i left home!!

so what are your cities like?

That is sensible. If monsters existed in my world, I am sure we would keep them out the way we try to keep out wild animals.

As for the cities, Paris is known as a center for arts and culture, and also as the city of love. I lived there for most of my life. London, I have only recently come to on business; it is a great power in the world, with vast wealth, and has contributed many scientific advances to the world as of late, such as the neo-steam engine. Of course, I prefer my hometown, but they both have their charms.

the city of love huh?? (・o・) i've been somewhere like that. the most romantic city in the world. it was kind of like bluo actually with the canals everywhere, you had to take a gondola to get most places. and it just had this.........atmosphere, you know? so airy and elegant. is paris like that?

[London, on the other hand, sounds like Gralea, and the less Prompto lingers on that thought, the better.]

It does have a river running through it, but although there is a city where gondolas are necessary for travel, that one is called Venice, not Paris. The atmosphere sounds about right, however. There are countless beautiful people and beautiful buildings, and museums full of beautiful artwork.

I think I would like to visit the city you mentioned, myself. A combination of Paris and Venice would be lovely.

they've got fancy wine flavored gelato too! but um. it's probably not a good idea to try to visit altissia anytime soon, it got pretty wrecked and it's gonna take a long time to rebuild. （●´∧｀●）

The greater obstacle standing in my way at the moment would be this town and the presumable space of the universe that stands between our worlds - yet I'm sorry to hear that it's been destroyed so. What happened to it? War?

yeah. it was kind of our fault and kind of the empire's fault and kind of a lot the hydraean's fault. she's a big water snake fish goddess and she kind of threw a tantrum when we woke her up.

Well, why did you wake her up? There are no such things in my world, so I confess it is hard for me to imagine this situation.
