Greetings, one and all. My name is Maribelle, and I have a few requests if you would so induldge me.

Two months ago, I began organizing a list of everyone's skills and talents, a sort of handy go-to list for anyone who needs it. Seeing as we've had a batch of newcomers arrive recently, I feel I am obligated to update it. Whether you can cook a decent meal or wield powerful magic, all abilities are treasured. Here is an example.

Maribelle : Healing Staff, Elemental Tomes, Horse.

To clarify, as some had the gall to ask, I do not transform into a horse, I own one.

That said, if you replied to this the last time, there's no need to inform me again, unless

1) You've learned something new, and thus wish me to update your listing, and/or
2) You know someone has gone missing and therefore should be removed from the list.

In my world, it's only those who have immersed themselves in negativity and a desire for power that become experts in darkness. There's a balance to be had, but... "darkness" usually means "dangerous." Still, I would love to learn about your world.

And I yours. Tell me, does your magic require a staff or tomes?

Not tomes, no; it depends on the type of weapon one yields and the proficiency. I wield a keyblade, which is much like a sword. Magic can be channeled through a variety of weapons, though.

Hold on a moment. A keyblade? Are you saying your sword also functions as a key?

[She's imagine opening a door by twisting a gigantic sword in a tiny lock.]

Yes, exactly. It's the size of a standard sword, but its shape is more similar to a key.

[troubadamsel]

That sounds rather inconvenient, if not outright strange.

[shotlocking]

It's actually quite strong and easy to use, just like any other sword. It's less for stabbing, though, and more for hitting.

I meant more about the key part, but that just sounds stranger! A sword not used for stabbing and slicing?

[shotlocking]

I suppose it does sound strange, but it's worked for me.

The difference between worlds is astounding. That or your doors and locks look much different too.

[shotlocking]

I don't believe so, no. But there are many different types of doors and locks out there.
