Good day, all.

I was alerted to the fact that many people here would like more options for soap. Now, I realize some of us who assisted with the geese may have been gifted toiletries, but I'm sure you'd prefer to keep that for your personal hygiene as opposed to using it to wash clothes or what have you.

As such, I spent a little time the other day mixing up some soap. Now, it's currently curing and I won't say that it smells like much of anything, but for basic use it should work well enough. It's unfortunately not vegan, but I'll get to work on alternative solutions as soon as I can.

It should be ready in about a week's time. Would anyone like some?

PS I know the basic mechanics of a spinning wheel and of a couple of simple looms if anyone is interested in possible textile needs. I think I saw some plants that could probably be spun into thread as well. Let me know if that sounds like something you think could be useful.

I didn't know there was anyone here who know how to make soap! That's really helpful. Thank you!!
If you're worried about them not smelling nice there's lavender growing around the forest's edge! I noticed they regained color recently.

Would you be willing to teach other people how to make it too? Then you might have to not do all of the tasks by yourself.

I want to help in anyway I can! Although I wouldn't know how we would use them. Do the flowers just get dried and crushed up in the soap?
I never really thought about how hard it would be to make soap before...

Well, that depends on how we want to use them.
We might want to dry them and crush them up in the soap, but I should be able to make some essential oil from the dried blossoms as well to make sure it permeates throughout the soap.

My mother liked to do that with some of the roses in her garden.

Yeah, I'd like that if you don't mind. There are a lot of things I don't know how to do here, so I'd like to learn something useful like that.

Well, I'd be glad to show you anything I know. The soap is just the one that people mentioned wanting.

Should anyone find or be 'awarded' any milk-producing animals, I'll probably be seeing if we can start getting cheese.

There are definitely cow-like creatures in the woods, it's just that they're as weird as the rest of them.

[He is all about anything that gets them more food though.]

I think the biggest issue we face with the animals is having a place to take care of them.

That's not so much trouble, I wouldn't think. It seems like there's fields around. We just have to do a little work with them.

I should clarify the matter by admitting that the chickens aren't actually mine. However, I'm hoping I might someday barter a few away from their current owners and raise a small contingent of my own.

So general guidelines would be welcomed, for the moment. I've been largely treating them like very small chocobos, but I'm fairly certain there are key differences in nature I'm likely missing.

Well, I'm happy to take a look at the yarn near your home and tell you what you'll need, but it's not too difficult. I certainly think you should be able to handle it.

Though I don't know what a chocobo is, I'm afraid.

They're large bipedal, generally flightless birds that are highly adept runners. Fairly convenient for land travel, if you can stand all the bouncing around.

The chickens generally resemble them, albeit much smaller, plumper, and with a shorter leg-to-body ratio.

Did you want to learn soapmaking as well? It's really not that hard.

A chef like you would probably pick it up relatively quickly.
