The defense force will keep a list of everyone within the town and have it updated when people arrive and disappear. It'll be good for tracking patterns on how people are brought to the town and what colors are being emphasized in particular. If we're separated again we'll know just how many people should be present and no one is lost in the shuffle.

Another thing, I'll be working on a map of the town to keep in a public space (such as, near the well) for easy accessibility. I think it would be in our benefit to add a list of residencies along with it -- name and hex code included. It would be for those who need to meet each other but have only interacted on the forums, for instance. Being able to reference a map and find someone's home from there will be helpful.

This would be an opt-in practice, you would only need to publicly list yourself if you wanted to.

Any other thoughts and comments on these two ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

And yes, that is the precise point of my list. We should be prepared for any and all dangers when in unfamiliar territory.

Say someone has super strength, for instance. What if someone found them to convince them to hurt someone else? What if someone showed up, with the ability to control minds, found the list and brainwashed the person with super strength to hurt everyone else?

Things of that nature.

My word, you're quite the pessimist, aren't you? We're not children, we know how to handle one another, and so far there haven't been any troublemakers. In fact, it should be obvious that trying to cause trouble would only punish themselves, like a failed quest.

I've been here for several months. Whoever is selecting us is doing a precise job. We have strange ones, and I'm not saying everyone here is pure of heart, but there haven't been any mad dictators or bloodthirsty savages.

I sincerely doubt we were picked at random. No one here is your average, ordinary citizen. We all have unique abilities and powers, no one here was a mere bystander.

There's definitely purpose here, and a pattern. I'm just a little too cynical to think "superpowered good hearted individuals" is it.

We could spin ourselves in circles about this forever though. The truth of the matter is we don't actually have answers for what rules this town follows. Need to spend more time here, to establish a pattern. Your batch was the control group, the rest are variables.

I can admit that, at the very least. But until my trust is proven wrong, my list will remain available to everyone here. We need to work together, and that requires faith. Call me foolish if you will, but that is my decision.

I don't think you're foolish at all. I think keeping that outlook in a situation like this deserves admiration, not derision. It's people who take on your outlook that make unfortunate circumstances bearable and progress into something positive.

We need both -- pessimists, optimists. People who trust, people who don't. All perspectives to survive something like this together and make sure everyone gets home safely. To believe otherwise is what would truly be foolish.

Well, when you put it that way, it's difficult to argue. If you'll look down, and I look up, and others see between, we're sure to cover everything.
