After recent events, I think it'd be in our best interest to take a headcount.

The defense force will keep a list of everyone within the town and have it updated when people arrive and disappear. It'll be good for tracking patterns on how people are brought to the town and what colors are being emphasized in particular. If we're separated again we'll know just how many people should be present and no one is lost in the shuffle.

Another thing, I'll be working on a map of the town to keep in a public space (such as, near the well) for easy accessibility. I think it would be in our benefit to add a list of residencies along with it -- name and hex code included. It would be for those who need to meet each other but have only interacted on the forums, for instance. Being able to reference a map and find someone's home from there will be helpful.

This would be an opt-in practice, you would only need to publicly list yourself if you wanted to.

Any other thoughts and comments on these two ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

I don't disagree about the residences list but what about when people move around? how often do you plan on keeping that kind of thing updated?

As often as I need to. It's a menial task but with a dedicated person on it, it shouldn't be hard to keep track. What else do I have to do here but be attentive to the changes in the community, after all?

I don't know, those quest things? map out the areas we haven't hit yet? that's what I want to do but I'm also not really a list kind of guy
but the changes happen without any warning anyway from what I've heard

Unless we're here for the next ten years and the events within the place as well as the people remain stagnant and unchanging, I doubt there will be things for me to run out of looking through.

but at the same time I'm not sure how I feel about staying here for ten years
and hopefully there's more to investigate sooner than later
everyone needs to get back to where they came from and we can't do that without answers
