The bogeyman that was hiding in town has finally been defeated, but it was at the cost of three lives. Dave, John and Dextera. I couldn't save them. I'm sorry.

Okuyasu and Asuka are badly injured, but are currently being treated for it. [He is too? He's bleeding all over his laptop, but it's fine.]

Dextera's body changed into something else, but the other two are still remaining. I think they both have family here, or something close. You can contact me and I'll tell you where they are, so you can arrange a burial or whatever you think is best.

I take full responsibility for this. There's still going to be a defense force meeting at the beginning of next month, so we can talk about it then. I know there could still be people missing from the werewolf thing, too, so keep your eyes open for them, alive or otherwise. If you have questions, I'll try to answer them.

[Of course, after this, he'll be in his room at his laptop, so people are free to come bother him. He's covered in blood, most notably a stab wound straight through his chest at the heart, and it looks like he's only partially been able to deal with that. He's not bleeding out as quickly? But his healing isn't working. He's only just barely come back to consciousness from Mahiru taking over.]

[Thankfully, Akechi won't have to break in. It does take Guren the larger part of those couple minutes to limp downstairs and get to the door, though, and when he swings it open, it's clear how he works. His small request or offering of Akechi coming to help came with, of course, a horrible injury that left him nearly dead. That's just how far his desire not to be a burden goes.

But here he is, and Guren's glad to see someone else, even if his pride is being damaged with every helping hand. He knows it doesn't matter in the face of death.]

[He's shirtless and bleeding through his bandages a bit already, they're on his chest, at his side, and he's bruised up, too. He shouldn't be walking, but here he is!

He moves to walk inside, gesturing that Akechi can follow him as he moves to the closest seat— the stairs.]

[ Akechi had though that nothing short of near death could prompt Guren to ever accept-- or rather, maybe actively call for help, in his own way. And upon finally seeing him standing by that door, he can only come to a single conclusion. ]

... I was right.

[ It's not much in the way of a proper greeting, but considering the current state of affairs, even Akechi figures there's no need for excessive formality right now. ]

If you had told me that was the condition you were in, I could have found another way in. [ Closing the door behind them, he follows Guren inside, though he remains standing. ] It really doesn't look as though you should be getting up at all...

If I don't do something, I'll lose my mind.

[He has to keep moving, to push himself, to be this stubborn, or he'll just. Lose it. Probably. That's his explanation, sighing as he runs his hand through his hair.]

Akira is still missing, too.

[ ............ ah. He was hoping that particular topic wouldn't come up, but of course Guren would notice, of course he would say something, being under the impression Akechi was friends with Akira and all. ]

... I know. [ It's all he can bring himself to say at first, voice low and hesitant. ] Kurusu-kun has always had a penchant for finding trouble, but... I fear this time he might not have escaped it.

When was the last time you saw him? I got distracted in the middle of the werewolf problems, and then I knew I had to take the chance to take the bogeyman out, or it'd make things worse.

[He's mentally scolding himself. He wasn't paying enough attention.]

[ The last time he had seen Akira... hah. That was also the last time he would be seem at all. ]

A few days ago, I believe. While the werewolves were still out.

[ While Akira himself was one of them. ]

Knowing him, he was mostly likely trying to help out everyone else in the town, and neglecting his own safety. He never did listen to me.

[ And maybe, there's just a hint of bitterness in his voice. If Akira had ever listened to his warnings, this could have been avoided-- and maybe so much more, even outside of this town, but... ]

[Yeah, there's something off about the way Akechi is talking about it. The bitterness isn't what he'd expect from a mourning friend, and he remembers that Akira wouldn't tell him just who would want him dead in this place. That's all pocketed away in his mind, waiting to be pulled out and referenced.

At the same time, though, he's bandaged and wounded so heavily himself, his head feels light and it's harder to focus. He's struggling, trying to think on Akira.]

So you were telling him to go back? What about you? Was everything okay, or were you hurt?

I was... trying to make him see reason.

[ It's a vague answer, but at least it's not a lie. Akechi had tried calling out to him, tried to make him remember his humanity, but Akira was more beast than man, far too gone to listen to his plea. He never listened, until it was too late.

He doesn't want to dwell on the topic of Akira for too long, though, so he'll gladly jump on that chance to talk about something else. ]

As for myself, I had quite a few run-ins with the enemy, but I managed to stay safe. Lupin-san, however, was turned into one of them. He asked me to tie him up in the basement, and after that I was on guard duty.
