Okay, so, a couple of things.

First off, probably useful for people to know right now: there's silver in them there hills. Forest, I mean. There's silver in the woods and you really have to look for it because it's buried, but it's out there. I found a ring in a chest, and I have a feeling given this place it's not the only one out there.

Second off is magic. I keep seeing people on the forum offering to use their talents to help make things better for everybody around here, so I guess I figure I should throw my figurative hat into the ring on that one, too. I was telling a guy recently that my magic is kind of like clay, and the spells I can do are like molds for it. Just because I've got molds for hearts, stars, and horseshoes right now doesn't mean I can't someday figure out how to make clovers and blue moons, too. It's just...working out how to do it, the first time.

Example: I've overheard enough people complaining about there not being any hair gel around that I went and figured out how to simulate it with magic. I don't need it myself but hey, trade me a favor and I'll do your hair for you, if it means that much to you. I'm a helper.

But yeah, I figure if I can do that, then maybe I can do other stuff, too. Things people think the town needs — above and beyond just putting on music for the local prom, I mean. So I'm taking ideas, if you've got them. I can't make any promises, but...you know, I want to help. Even if it's just really random, stupid little conveniences. Like maybe I can enchant a bathtub to heat the water you put in it or something, I don't know. I'm good at tricks like that, it's kind of what I do.

Third thing, and this is kind of out there but I just wanted to see if anybody else has been having thoughts like this too. Does it ever seem as though this town is, like...some kind of entity in its own right? Like a thing with a will of its own?

So you're saying that #FFFFFF is less of an individual and more of a FFFFFForce?

Something like that. Or...like a system that's just executing a program someone put in place before we ever entered the picture, maybe.

Minato and I were talking - a lot of the stuff we've encountered here seems tailored to us, personally. And the monsters always seem to be something at least one person recognizes, like it's taking cues from us on what appears here. Things we know, things we think about. That feels to me like something reacting to what we put into it (figuratively, obviously not intentionally of us), rather than someone pulling strings behind the scenes and making deliberate decisions about what appears here.

So we're the variables, basically. It does what it does because of us, and if we weren't us, then it'd be doing something else. It's reacting to us.

So what does that say about how we were brought here? Is it just a fluke that this place picked who it picked?

Maybe random...or maybe there's something that just made us easier or more convenient choices to take here than anyone else, although I don't have any particular ideas about that.

I mean I'm not arguing with your theory here, don't get me wrong, but where I was at before this? I was not exactly what you might call easy to kidnap.

Honestly I'm kind of surprised I even managed to end up here to begin with.

Not easy to kidnap in the physical sense, or the metaphysical sense?

[ He never would call himself an easy target to get physically, but...clearly whatever's going on is weirder than that. ]

I'm not actually sure what the difference is here. Clarify?

I'd call myself hard to kidnap, for instance. But I mean that purely in the sense that someone would have an extremely difficult time sneaking up on me with a chloroform rag or putting a bag over my head.

But, given how we seem to be dealing with something that's taking people from different worlds entirely, we can safely discount that kind of modus operandi. So, if we assume there's something magical or supernatural or whatever you want to call it behind bringing us here - would you call yourself well protected against something like that?

I would call myself hard to kidnap in terms of "the guy who had custody of me before this wasn't really the type to want to share".

So yeah, I would say I was very well-protected against that kind of thing. Honestly I'm kind of surprised he hasn't shown up yet to drag me back.

He's potentially able to do that?

[ A lot of them here have arch-nemeses or unfortunate guardians or whatever, but he hasn't heard from many people who think theirs would be able to pop through some kind of cross-dimensional bullshit to find them. ]

Yeah. He does it sometimes when I piss him off. Tosses me somewhere and leaves me there awhile until he feels like dragging me back again.

I'm surprised he hasn't come to get me because the going theory is that this ISN'T something he did, and he's not the kind of guy who likes people fucking around with his own master plans.

So we're potentially looking at a force that not only has the power to grab people from across different worlds, but possibly also enough strength behind that to block out another's capability of doing the same.

Yeah, if it's got enough juice to trump the old man, it's not something I'd really want to tangle with, myself.

Well, a little late for that, probably.

But despite some of the things its thrown at us, I don't think its intentions are necessarily malevolent. I'm not sure it can really be said to have intentions at all.
