and as the arguably more attractive of the two of us im going first
i got more votes at prom that means its true
but anyway just mentally call up my red i know you can do it
obviously the rumors of our demise were greatly exaggerated

not that exaggerated 
that definitely happened
but things are copacetic now
aside from the weird few days where i felt like a reject mascot from a kids show

what dave is TRYING to say is that hey, we're back. it looks like guren maybe sort of explained what happened (sorry guren! and okuyasu! and everyone else?) 
i think the boogeyman was defeated right? if we could get details on how it all finished that would be pretty good.
here's a fun fact for you: when you come back from the dead, you get to look all sketchy and weird. i'm not sure we even recognized each other, we were just in our house assuming we were supposed to be there.
we would have been in touch sooner but i don't think we could have been. 
it's been a couple of days though...dave probably has a more specific count.

in more important news two days spent puttering around banging on the piano led to a life changing decision and were starting a band
i would say a boy band but were accepting of all genders
and instruments
and like musical creeds
although imma judge you a bit for musical tastes probably but like you can still come and join and hang and jam
and john will judge you less probably

or at least hell smile goofily while he judges you so really what have you got to lose
other than free time which lbr we all have way too much of
were still arguing about band names or if an informal jam session even requires one
hint john has awful naming sensibilities and mine are amazing

ok more like the opposite of that is true! jeez.
but like he said, we are actually open to people coming over and playing at our place.
the piano is technically portable if we feel like it but i kind of don’t want to, so just let us know. thanks!

[That sounds so ominous...but he doesn't reply. Instead there's a knock and he goes to open the door!]

Hey! That was fast.

[inheritance]

What can I say? [Izuku smiles at him, lingering in the doorway.]

I, um, really wanted to see you?

[windeity]

You know you're allowed to come by whenever you want, dude. Dave and I will never be opposed. [Maybe to other people, but not Izuku. He moves out of the way then.] Come on in.

[inheritance]

Really? [That makes him brighten up immediately. And, after hesitating for a second, he draws John into a light hug.]

It's good to see you again, by the way.

[windeity]

[Lucky for Izuku John is very receptive to hugs. He even gets a hug back, wow!! But he figures he at least owes that much to him.]

Really. And likewise, dude. I would like to avoid doing that again for as long as possible.

[inheritance]

I'd like you to avoid doing that again.

[He hesitates again, brows drawing together like he wants to say something, but isn't sure if he should.]

[He sees the hesitance and he gives Izuku a curious look.]

[inheritance]

[A shake of his head.]

I was just...wondering if you remembered anything. [From the death.]

I remember how I died if that's what you mean.

[inheritance]

[Izuku winces. So much for leading into it gently.]

Yeah...that's exactly what I mean.

Yeah. I mean I remember my deaths from my own world, too, so maybe that is not that surprising? But it wasn't as weird as you might think.

[inheritance]

[And he's definitely staring at John again.]

You died in your own world, too?? How?

[windeity]

Uh. Being stabbed by an anthropomorphic dog? Twice. I died both times because of him.

[inheritance]

Being stabbed by a what? [That's really weird, John.]

[windeity]

Tall sword-wielding dog. His name's Jack Noir. He screwed up a lot of things for us back home and killed a lot of us. It is a long story.

[inheritance]

A sword wielding dog... [That's...not as strange to Izuku as it might be for some other people, honestly.]

What's his deal? If you don't mind talking about him.

[windeity]

You mean like why did he have a sword, or why was he going around killing all of us?

[inheritance]

Both. [Izuku pauses, rethinking that.] But mostly the second one.

[windeity]

The sword was because he stole it I think. [Not exactly.] And the second part...well, according to Karkat when Jack was in our session he killed our Black King and Queen which meant he could rise up to power and basically went crazy after that? I think I might have had something he wanted or something, I don't know. All I know is that he killed my dad, he killed Rose's mom, he killed me but luckily in a place I could turn into a god, and he went crazy later in the session.

More or less I think it was just power doing crazy shit to people.
