[Until she got home and it was just her and Shiho, she hadn't even realized that they'd been gone so long. Or well, she learned afterwards that Shiho did know but hadn't told any of them as she navigated them all home in a way that avoided everyone patrolling the harbour. Then Shiho told her when they were back and well, as much as she wanted to just go to sleep after everything she had to at least let everyone know they were fine.]
this is kaoru. me, shiho, midoriya-kun andei-chan eijirou all made it back okay. i'm sorry if we worried anyone. i didn't think we'd be gone this long.
so anyway...there are monsters under the water too. and it turns out if you try to explore underwater the way we did when we went into the forest it does that creepy thing where it makes it so you can't see anything around you.
except there's no fog. because you don't get fog underwater! it just turns pitch black.
we ended up being kidnapped by these bootleg mermaids who don't understand that housework should be done regularly so they don't end up with a HUGE backlog of chores. i guess they did make it so we could breathe, but like, they're still kidnappers! and ugly! and terrible home-makers!
2/10 for hospitality, would not recommend for marriage.
anyway, we ended up back on the beach after we were finished and we have these neat pendants!
funny how this place keeps giving us clothing and accessories...but a lot of it is pretty ugly. if someone wore all of it together...i can't even imagine how that would look. it might be worse than the clothes we found in this place and i didn't realize that was even possible!

I'm so sorry you were kidnapped by ugly mermaids. I hope the pendant is lovely enough to make up for it?
Your health is well? You are resting at present?

i wish we got something more than that though...
but yeah, all of us are okay and healthy! i'll go rest after i'm done here.
[And probably after she's done being scolded by Guren.]

that's a lot to take in.
A pendent for breathing under water does sound exceptionally useful for the future.
Regardless, I am grateful for your good health and spirits. Do you need anything to help you relax?

[She wishes she got something that would make all the worry she's caused worth it though.
But like. That's something for her to worry about.]
what, like a bedtime story?
no subject
Uh... I mean, I am certainly capable of reciting any number of stories.
Is that truly relaxing?
["Bedtime stories" mean "working overtime" to Eliot.]
no subject
i don't know if it was relaxing. i think it was more funny than anything because we used to interrupt him and derail the story. but it was nice that he cared enough to do it.

I've told many bedtime stories. I always thought the story got derailed or interrupted if I was telling it poorly.
But that's not the point. I'm sincerely offering help, if you need anything.
no subject
i think we're fine. thank you for offering!
